There's a reason why they've been waiting so long.
I think this all made up bs, there's no leak. This is newscorp jumping the gun. The only reason all the other bids aren't publicly fuming... they've been reassured by the NRL that the bidding process is still very much open.
Otherwise all the bids ( 11 or so) would be able to sue the NRL.

I wonder if the Western Bears should try and partner up with Burleigh Bears to develop a Qlnd pathway to go with their NSW and WA ones?

I would love that. I’ve suggested it before. But it seems that Burleigh have some beef with North Sydney.

I wonder if having an NRL licence as the Western Bears may change that or not…

Just found these lodged with IP Australia from the same people who lodged the name Western Bears on the same date.

Seems to be the new logo minus any wordmarks.



I like the 'W' on the cheeks, signifying WA. I like that it is a similar image to the NS emblem, but is modernised and more simplified, pretty much a requirement for the digital age we're in.
I think there's still a little too much going on inside the image, but it's not too bad.

Overall, if these are indeed the new logo, I don't mind it. I have ideas that I believe could possibly have been better, but I can live with these.

I have to admit that I have seen much better around, hopefully these get tweaked as they are very busy and not very modern looking imo.
The Bear has Winston Churchill eyebrows lol, sometimes less is better.
After the gag order is off today I wonder what we will find out from 2morro onwards ?.
