Shouldn’t answer a question with a questionWhy not?

It’ll be an either/or. Not both venues.I would have the Manly clash at Allianz, and save the NSO clash for a lower-drawing out of state side like the Titans.
I'm wearing my orthopedic shoes. I stand corrected. The Titans have worn a butcher-stripe design in Titans colours as a "heritage jersey" so there's been SOME acknowledgement of previous GC incarnations.. even though they've not used the latter day Seagulls (thick stripes), Chargers or Giants designs as heritage - Titans colours or the original ones.
No worries - it was pretty much "blink and you miss it" stuff, and they haven't made a huge deal about celebrating/commemorating previous top tier Gold Coast teams - kinda understandable given that for many seasons they were pretty dire.I'm wearing my orthopedic shoes. I stand corrected.
The Gold Coast Titans wore a Gold Coast Seagulls design jersey in Titans colours a few jerseys ago.The Reds' lineage has no tie-in with the Bears. They happen to share the same prefix and residency.
The Titans have never done anything to acknowledge the Chargers or Seagulls even though they were around much longer than the Reds, and there's no real stopping them if they wanted to.
They had good representation in Canberra the other week.Manly fans may sell out Brokevale Oval but they certainly aren’t good travellers to any other grounds no matter how close it may be.
Titans are such an important club in a city which is booming and afl has spent a 500 million on their problem child trying to make it relevantNo worries - it was pretty much "blink and you miss it" stuff, and they haven't made a huge deal about celebrating/commemorating previous top tier Gold Coast teams - kinda understandable given that for many seasons they were pretty dire.
However, you'd think that some sort of commemoration of the Chargers is well overdue - given that they not only were the first GC team to make the playoffs, but they also made a profit during the superleague war, and they had a great striped saddle design for a jersey.
The Titans have made some mistakes - branding especially, with some very forgettable designs & a terrible first logo (thankfully simplified now).. but they're getting there.Titans are such an important club in a city which is booming and afl has spent a 500 million on their problem child trying to make it relevant
One million in the bank and was ignored by the criteria
Titans are like the warriors they have been a rabble for most of their existence but they will get it right
need to ensure all the good local juniors stick with them rather then other clubs
Hopefully Hasler can continue this years improvementThe Titans have made some mistakes - branding especially, with some very forgettable designs & a terrible first logo (thankfully simplified now).. but they're getting there.
As far as branding goes, they just need to hit on the right iconic jersey design that they can nail their brand onto.
Okay that’s surprising, you sure it just wasn’t Hopoates’ family as he had one on each team lol. They had good representation in Canberra the other week.
Weren’t they Gladiators for a week one day?Their membership tiers for length of membership are based on the old clubs
Might be but it was quite noticeable.Okay that’s surprising, you sure it just wasn’t Hopoates’ family as he had one on each team lol.
Even though Albert was 18th man for the Raiders.
Says Saturday night will be their main time slot
That could literally only work if the Western Bears are put in that slot every home game and it was only shown sporadically. No other club could play in that slot at home.It says “ an extra time slot on Super Saturday “…
This can only be 9.30pm ….im dubious to say the least …
When did the Guardian start breaking NRL stories ?
Sat gets much stronger ratingsThat could literally only work if the Western Bears are put in that slot every home game and it was only shown sporadically. No other club could play in that slot at home.
Much more likely a regular Sunday 6 or 6.30pm slot is whats introduced that any club could play in but that was favoured towards the Peth club filling in the scheduling.
problem is they cant schedule a weekly game in that Sat slot. They could only show a game in it when Perth was scheduled into it at home. It makes for a weekly scenario where the games schedules change regularly.Sat gets much stronger ratings
I think Perth will get both slots
It’s like the Sunday 630 pm slot nowproblem is they cant schedule a weekly game in that Sat slot. They could only show a game in it when Perth was scheduled into it at home. It makes for a weekly scenario where the games schedules change regularly.
So at most they could only have a max 11 late night sat games, and thats presuming Ch9 dont pick a Perth home game for their first choice.
I could see them trying it 3 or 4 times a season to see how it rates, though it is PTV where ratings are very much secondary to subscriptions. The more 6.30 sunday slots perth fills the better off for the other clubs who will no doubt hate that slot as much as the friday 6pm one. It’s like the Sunday 630 pm slot now
fans will work out when it’s on
going to the footy on a Saturday night is a better option for crowds especially as the fumblers play during the daytime
