We'll have to wait for every detail, yes
doubt you'll get every detail but seeing there's heaps of experts on here with insiders everywhere, maybe ask one of them. they should be able to tell you everything from financials and what banking institution the club will use to if they intend to use broadloom or carpet tiles in their offices.

on a serious note, whats it matter? if theyre announced and then 17 players run on to the field, who cares how the particulars are made up. why is it any different to not knowing each single detail of how the other 17 clubs are made up?

Random thought

Manly should play home games against Perth at Allianz Stadium and play it as an event game. Attack it to a public holiday or something and sell it out.
Norths home game v manly should be at Allianz provided it’s on a Sunday afternoon or Saturday night

Even if they can get nso back to 23k it’s too small

Pre season games can be at nso

if resurrecting an old, mostly unsuccessful suburban club that hasn't been around for 25 years and has fans made up of mostly 55+ year old men is a huge issue then the sport is in big trouble....
Exactly. It's a shame that they can only be accepted by the Sydney league community (and the NRL it seems) by allying with an old heritage brand that frankly were just "lovable losers".

The bears moniker is there to drum up interest in the club by Sydney media and sydney folk which is clearly successful with the amount of people talking about that here in this forum.

Whether it's the Perth Stingrays or West Coast Bears won't matter too much in WA, so let's stop worrying about that aspect. We know enough now that there's not going to be a takeover by the Norths club so don't need to worry about that. It's a WA club full stop.

If naming them Bears drums up interest in Sydney, gets more eyeballs on TV and bums on seats in sydney, then it sounds like a good idea. NRL are trying to make this club a powerhouse in all ways and having a big Sydney based support group sounds pretty great.

If we end up with another Melbourne Storm but in WA that's the making a powerful national competition.

Because of the hoopla around the Bears their opening game will be absolutely huge on the east coast, specifically in Sydney, in West Oz it`ll prob be just huge because it`s their team.
After that they`ll just have to start winning and I dare say, that if they do there will be certain rivals in Sydney where the Bears fans will come out in force.

Funny dolphins are 2nd most successful club in NRL by some measures. Is that team you're talking about?!

Yeah but the Warriors are a whole-nation's club whereas Norths was in a wildly over-saturated market.

Apples & Oranges
More rugby league fans in Sydney than all of nz

Funny you see a place for another nz nrl side but not the bears brand in wa

Lucky the bears were in favour of the warriors entry into the arl lol

How many weeks were the warriors in the arl before deciding to jump ship ? Was it four weeks ?
