Maybe you don’t follow Australian sport? Aleague and super rugby are on the nose at the moment. Context is everything. You could ask where have all the Waratahs and western Sydney fans gone? Has sydney lost millions as well? But you be you.
I hate to say it but Waratahs crowds have trended up

Same with the Sydney a league side lol

Just got off the phone and fair to say that, presuming labor dont lose, I’m now very confident perth will be club 19. A very interesting conversation!
Here we go again. perthwrongs, late to the party as always.

Who was on the other end ? The talking clock ?
sex line? She saying all the things he wants to hear to get him there. For $4.95 p/min he can fantasise all his erotica. “yes Perth are in as next expansion club, yes big man pete cumins will be there in his finest leather get up to celebrate with you, you skrawny hull’ish twink”

He was talking to himself

Maybe he spoke to @Red&BlackBear and got the good oil
Perthwrongs laughs at ya comment but let’s be serious @Red&BlackBear has been only poster to be even remotely correct in this whole endeavour. Even when the strategy was changing he flagged it on this thread. but perthwrongs, like the turd stain that he is refused to listens and downplay it because it hurts his ego when he is exposed for not really having secret service government officials as sources and his coffee dates with geriatrics claiming to be old reds officials is bullshit and now he is playing catch up. Lol

Red bear said a month ago the deal was done

Now Perth red spoke to an imaginary friend who told him the same thing

He’s been crapping on for weeks saying the deal isn’t done

I get the whole thing is conditional to labor winning and retaining political power in west oz etc. I have a feeling once they win that a lot will happen but not straight away, maybe a week or two after election then it’ll start with news feed until eventual announcement.

I also get the feeling that red black bears has a lot more info that he isn’t telling us. @Red&BlackBear

Waratahs attendances have been good?

After leaks almost killed the bid I would expect zero leaks until it’s done lol

Just ignore the usual suspects who claim they know but don’t

Assuming Perth bears is 2027 and png 2028 then by 2027 all of the current teams bar one will have gone to Vegas

This opens up 2028 for potential one team that hasn’t gone, plus Perth bears plus png plus another

I would that would be too soon for bears and png to undertake the trip

Any new club’s first game should be at home, Perth should open their 2027 season at Optus then they can go to Vegas in 2028 with whichever other club is left and 2 clubs returning. PNG shouldn’t go in their first season either.

It surely wouldn't happen, but imagine if a new club's first ever game in the NRL was in front of 50,000+ people in Las Vegas. A shame for all the fans back home who, rightly, should have that first ever game at home, but what an entrance!

Their first home game doesn’t have to be in round one

But 2028 is the most likely so year two

Dunno about png but it would be interesting if they did

Seeing them tonked by 50 wouldn’t be good for the game though

There is no way the NRL would send any untested teams like WA Bears or PNG to Vegas, look what happened to the English girls yesterday.
Who knows by then Vegas might be getting an early State of Origin match or men’s Test Matches, most certainly the World Club Challenge is on the cards.

I think the Indigenous Game would be very well received by the Yanks.

What are we trying to market here? The NRL or Rugby League?

I think we need to get that right first. We all know that its the same game, and there is a "pyramid" to rep footy etc. but all these different formats is going to create confusion in the US market place.

On a side note, the Bears being given 1.5 years to join the comp is a disaster of epic proportions. I doubt the ARLC is that naive.

A new team in non-RL state needs more time to establish itself.

I would have to assume its going to be post 2027 at least.

Bears would’ve had one year in the nrl but yeh they might not want to go so early in their development

But I’m sure they would get very decent numbers from Sydney going over given how cashed up they are
