Wake up to yourselves

After reading all the Parra vs Storm threads which were a result of a great game of football (I am a neutral supporter), I think it's time to say some home truths.

Every single Eels, Dragons or other "fan" who came out last night and said pathetic verbal-diarrhea (e.g. "storm fans look at yourselves you cheats" and other slanders) the time is now for you to WAKE THE f**k UP TO YOURSELVES!

The Storm officials cheated. Not the players (innocent until proven guilty and if you don't like that, f**k off to China), not the coach, AND ESPECIALLY NOT THE FANS.

The Storm fans have been decimated with what is easily the worst possible thing that could have happened to their beloved team. These Storm fans have done nothing more than LOVE THEIR FOOTY CLUB. Something that we all do and something which is the cornerstone of Rugby League.

You pathetic losers, who come on an internet forum, talk sh*t (because we all know the reality is very, very few of you would talk this sh*t face to face with Storm fans) and give it to Storm fans at every opportunity, smack of desperation.

Storm fans are VITAL to the rebuilding of the club, and the club is VITAL to the competition. By all means give people sh*t about how useless their club is, but to constantly bleat about something which has crushed most Storm fans is a dog act. They know their club cheated.....out of all of us NRL fans, they know the most.

Get a new insult.

You can f**k the storm all you like, just lay off the fans! We've had a gutful and this forum, by keeping that subsection open is sanctioning trolling of a whole supporter base.
Get over it already!!
The management cheated yes, we had our points stripped, premierships taken, what the f**k more do you merkins want? Blood???

You are not fit to call yourself a supporter of this great game if you want the Storm rubbed out. Go support soccer or rugby but leave the genuine fans alone!

Yeah judge us all by the likes of Simostorm.
P.S what a surprise, the same six or seven St Merge and Parra fans crawl out of the woodwork.
It's getting old.

Interesting topic.

Personally, I'm a bit indifferent. There are Storm fans out there who feel that the club has been hard done by the NRL and claiming the club is being victimised. This is shown by several Storm supporters in this forum. I have sympathy for the true supporters who realise their club has done the wrong thing and is generally gutted and devestated yet makes no excuses for the club. But I have no sympathy for those fans, and there are a lot out there who blame the NRL and the salary cap for their misfortunes rather than their own club.

When it comes to the Storm players, none of them have come out publicly and stated their club did the wrong thing and offer any apology on behalf of the club to supporters of other clubs. None of the players have offered any regrets over what happened. The players have done nothing wrong but the attitude from the Storm players is still "we're the ones being punished" when it goes far deeper than that. Once the players realise that they are not the only victims in this sage then I shall have a lot more sympathy towards them. But at the moment they carry on like they're the only ones who've suffered from think the whole salary cap drama is a storm (no pun intended) in a teacup when it's not.

The problem still lies with some Storm fans who can't accept the fact their team cheated and their team did wrong. I know you understand this, but there's still a few who don't and they want to blame everyone else for something the management (and now being revealed players, officials and the board) did to the club.

As a supporter of a club who's gone through this it sucks - but there are some absolute tools on here from your side of the fence who only serve to feed the ferals from the other supporter bases in the NRL.

Great post.

The sad truth is however, not far from what you suggested. These trolls, who more than likely have never played a game of league in their lives, do actually want the Storm rubbed out of the NRL. While they are at it, they want Brisbane, Warriors, NQ, Titans and then eventually Canberra removed as well.

Then they can have an all-NSW competition; run chook-raffles and BBQs to fund the competition and sit back and masturbate while thinking about how great "their" game is.

These are the same imbeciles who slander the idea the Super League brought to RL, and the same idiots who insult players who leave for paydays in Union, AFL and England.

The real tragedy is, they can't even see the folly of their thought process and will forever wonder why RL can't generate the cash flow needed to be a genuinely competitive professional sport in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Bulldogs certainly never received anywhere near as much grief, and they had already disgraced the game in a far more serious way only a year or so earlier and have not done as much for the game as the Storm before or since.

I think the level of antagonism given to this story indicates two things to me.

1. That deep down most Sydney people can't stand any non Sydney sides being in the comp, and certainly not being successful, for any reason.
and
2. That the culture of scandal surrounding the game has built even more in the last few years, unfortunately. Rugby league is like a Today Tonight episode on roids these days and it's sickening.

There's the key.

Lay into him, why lump an entire supporter group, and the model of its team and its players, into one group because one sonovbich f**ked them over severely?

They're doing their time, why continue to lump it all over fans who are like yourselves, only wanting to enjoy a game of Rugby League, when they have done nothing wrong?

The problem is in that post you failed to recognise the intent of my post. The Storm FANS are the ones copping pathetic taunts from other club's fans.

Fan's didn't know of salary cap cheats. All they knew is they were supporting the team the rest of us were in awe of.
