Wallabies Struggling

I agree on Donnely.

He would definitely stand up at test level. Every game bar one he was exceptional for NSW only to be dumped.

And what is there to lose by trying him? We're already assured of last place in the tri-nations.

Well Lyons is now out for the rest of the season. Looks like Vickerman and Giteau will be lucky to play. So the injury crisis worsens.

So it looks like Fava will finally make his test debut, MacKay looks like he has recovered and will probably replace Giteau if he is unfit but who replaces Vickerman. With Al Campbell and Al Kanaar out. Who is left???

Donnelly is what you call "solid first grader". That does not mean that he can't do well, but geez he is NOWHERE near test standard!

Have you watched any grade games he has played?

You must get to see alot up in Queensland.

He dominates the Tooheys New Cup every single year.

There is a reason Eastwood are always up there, and it's because he is by far the best playmaker in the competition.

He would handle test rugby. And as Timbo said, what have we got to lose?

Mackay has been named to play, doing it for the ISA boys along with Kanaar! But the problem with big Lachie is that he sucks...

I live in NSW by the way. I just come from QLD.

That beside I have seen Donnelly play and it is just my opinion that he does not have the game to be a TEST pivot. Of course he looks good in the club rugby- he is about the only one that actually plays from the super 12 sides! There are better options MacKay, Giteau, Rogers (I would like to see them at least try it!). Don't get me wrong Donnelly is a good player BUT he is a bit off test standard!

I don't know what is going on with the Wallabies attack. Whenever SA were in the Wallabies 22 they always looked like scoring.

But South Africa's two tries came from 90 meter runs by Habana, and the

Game in South Africa their two tries came from intercepts......

South Africa are a more dangerous side WITHOUT the ball. Their defense causes handling errors, then 2 or 3 passes out to Habana and she's all over. He's the quickest player in the world.

Their attack definitely looked more threatening than ours. Even though they could breach our line when they threw it wide they looked like scoring.

Wait till you see Tonderai Chavhanga the guy makes Rockocko look like a snail he can outrun Habana easily in training or so I've heard, scored 6 tries on debut for the Boks against some minnows (Uruguay?)

Yea that guy is quick. Wish Aus could get some speedsters.

Well it doesn't help when you have pedestrian service from halfback which puts your outside backs under undue pressure! Drop GREGAN NOW!

Our tight five aren't fat. They wish they were. They are slow and can;t scrumage for shi*t.

It doesnt help him when he's got the worlds fattest & slowest tight 5.

The two tries came from broken play. Dropped passes when the centres were put under undue pressure by Gregan. He is too slow at passing it out!

I agree with what Nick Farr Jones said about the tight 5, there's not one player in their own would scare any opponent.

I mean compare Jeremy Paul to Keven Mealamu and Vickerman and Sharpe to WIlliams and Jack and Botha and Matfield. Let not even mention Bill Young and AL Baxter.

Gregan and Januarie are on par as two of the worst starting halfbacks in the top tier teams. Januarie apart from his moments of brilliance, in general has an inaccurate passing game and is a slow decision maker. Where on earth is Du Preez or Conradie...

I'm still wondering how Mortlock and Giteau could not get through the De Villiers\Fourie combination, they looked lost against the All Blacks.

Januarie is good at one thing: pissing people off, in fact he is very good at it

I really think Jones needs to go I am sick of his stubborn stupid ways we need a forward thinker who isn't afraid to try new things not a bloody statician!

I was wondering about Conradie too. I just watched a tape of a 2002 SA/Aus match, (I'm reduced to that as RU is no longer shown in Canada), and Bolla conradie played a great game. And he's still young I believe. Is he hurt?
