Barnes didn't even play in all four of QLD's wins I believe - he missed a couple of games throughout the year, the little softie.

Locky has an unusual love for passionless, lifeless, talentless Queenslanders.

The more league stars the better. The backs may start to stop kicking the friken ball. No-one in the backline can kick accurately and long. Latham is the best but jeez he is prone to a chargedown. We need to start playing like France and keep the ball in our hands and chance our arm. We have all the backs in the world but if you keep kicking the ball then the backs will be useless.

The more league stars the better? What like Sailor (f**k no!), or Rogers (no no no!!) or Tuqiri (passable)?

Geez there are some ignorant people out there.

Oh, and the best long kicker is Mark Gerrard, who should be getting a lot more test time than he is.

Says something about the kicking ability if Gerrard is the best one. He is ok, but jeez he wouldn't even be in the top 4 or 5 kickers in NZ! Hence the reason we need to start to run with the ball and only kick when absolutely necessary! Gerrard should be on the wing instead of Rathbone to be honest.

Rathbone is good but I see him as a outside centre playing on the wing. If he's not the best outside centre he isn't starting. Simple as that!

I never said Gerrard was accurate, just that he has a huge boot. He can kick from 10 metres out from goal to inside the other 22 ffs!

Fine outside centre.

Point is that the Australian selectors should stop cutting and pasting players and positions.

There is a reason why we have no continuity; the players don’t have enough time to build a combination.

That I agree on... although I can also understand why they were trying new things. Trouble is, none of them worked.

Rathbone at least has been playing wing for the best part of 3 years now at the Brumbies, so it's not that much of a change for him... Tuqiri is not, never has been and never will be a 13. Larkham is brilliant wherever he plays, but with the lack of a realistic fly half to replace him, that has to be his position. Giteau, in my opinion, has shown more during his brief time at inside centre on this tour than he has at halfback, and should play there. Gregan is still the best halfback we have, and despite the Sydney media's massive grudge against him is still the man to lead us to the World Cup.

Ireland will win the world cup if that is your team Skeepe. IMO as stupid as it may sound, I'd like to see Latham trialled at inside centre against Scotland. We have 5 fullbacks who are good. What we don't have is a inside centre. That is our BIG weakness. Giteau is ok, but not great at inside. Staniforth is untried there as well. Ryan Cross could be the man for that position but we'll see how he goes in union first.

According to the paper this morning, it's not just my team, but it's Connelly's team as well.

We may not agree on everything each other has to say but what I think we can agree
on is the we have to get better and fast.

And so far, Knuckles's ideas have not been fantastic.

I don't mind Knuckles' ideas in theory. It is just that we still have some really crap players in our lineup! Baxter, dear oh me. Blake, ditto same thing, fat lump of lard that does nothing. Rogers, um where do I begin. Tuquiri, he is BARELY a winger now certainly not a centre. I'd have Shephard before Tuquiri on form!

rathbone should be given a go at outside centre, although i wouldnt want to stick mortlock at inside centre again. didnt rudolph whats-his-name (ex boks coach) offer rathbone the vice-captaincy and guaranteed start at outside centre if he committed to the boks? maybe rathbone doesnt fit the aussie culture too well.

theres talk of staniforth or turinui starting at 12 for the scotland game. good idea, although giteau would be far better off there.
