We win another one!

Bit lucky to be honest - Gidley should have been binned late in the game. Defence went missing late in the game, but stood up in the last 5.

We need an alternate kicker. Kurt probably has too big a workload and his kicking has been pretty poor this year. Any alternatives?

I continue to be impressed with Junior Sau - looks good with the ball.

Pato, Dureau etc etc

Pika was saying that the Knights have a Kicking Coach but Kurt Gidley won't use him :x

Gidley probably should have been binned. I think the way in which he made it look a lot less deliberate (if you know what I mean) is the only reason he managed to stay on. I think it's an absolute joke that people think the Warriors were being hard done by the referee though (apart from that call). They should not have even been in the position to score either of their last two tries and their first one was a blatant offside if I ever saw it - I can't believe it wasn't looked at.

Oh well, we won, but not happy with the last 20-odd minutes at all. It was up to us to overcome the bullsh*t calls and man-up in defence and we didn't. We were saved by a terrible attempt at goal.

Gidley should have been binned, but we got the win and thats the main thing (and pissed Skeepe off as an added bonus :) )

Goalkicking is a major concern at the moment. Gidley is kicking, what....50-60%??
That is simply not good enough in first grade rugby league. It nearly cost us the game today and I would say it had an effect on our two losses this year. Against the Titans if he kicks both we lead 18-0 after 20mins which looks better than 14-0. Similiar situation against Souths.

Goal kicking is a worry, maybe Patto should start taking them if not Wes when/if he's selected in first grade.

Well Kurt didn't miss any against the tits, but I don't think Corey is the answer at the moment. The guy was practically dead out there today.

Thought Ben Rogers had a cracking first 20 minutes before being hurt. When Mullen came on he seemed happy to sit back and let him run the show and just help out when needed, which was the right choice.

That try he set up for De Gois was magic.

It will be interesting to see how the Dureau/Mullen/Rogers situation works out as the season goes on. Smith has worked his magic with Rogers and harnessed his talent to benefit the team, but it is obvious that all three of those guys are in our top 17 players.
As Mullen gets fit i imagine he will get 80 minutes and it might be Rogers and Dureau sharing the bench warming duties.

I thought it was a very good effort today.

We started to take our foot off towards the end ( Denan Kemps miss was huge for us ), though the Warriors had a great deal of possession.

Special mention once again to Ben Rogers, who showed a tonne of class out there today. He can be on or off, but when he is on, he possesses some rare football skills that very few have.

I don't think the 3 halves will last forever though. Sooner or later it will become a disadvantage when there is injuries and we don't have the extra foward/utility to cover it. The Benchwarmer may be the odd man out, because can you imagine Mullen starting on the bench forever? 3 will have to go into 2 eventually...

Gidley was once again fantastic. Definitely should have been binned. No doubt if it wasn't Kurt and he wasn't captain, he'd have gone. The refs are spineless sometimes. He was everywhere though.

The forwards were good. Danny Wicks only made a handful of meters again though which is a concern.

Hilder was great again. ( Faaoso should never be allowed to pass ever again either ).

McManus was solid once again.

Hard to find too much at fault apart from a few lapses in concentration towards the end and some ill discipline.

A win we should expect to have given the context of the game with injuries and playing at home.

Disappointing crowd though.

Goal kicking is definatly a worry. Whilst he's general play is alright he'd definatlty out of form with the boot off the tee. Perhaps try Corey Patterson next week.

Also I didn't see it but I heard hat the refs needed security to escort them off the ground.

The refs were escorted out , but from where I was sitting it was only a precaution. I didn't see any real threat, or do I believe that anyone had any justification to be overly upset with the refs (except maybe for the worriers & Kidleys p.foul).

Why was Uate missing? He was named, wasn't he?

Injury or something else?

Injured mate. Was named but was always very unlikely to play. Hamstring tear in the last few minutes last week.

I saw him in the car park on the way out and he said he's definitely back next week.

Rogers was brilliant in the first 20 minutes. He got injured and went missing for the rest of the game but will give him the benefit of the doubt due to the injury. But he does have class and adds a valuable attacking option with some brilliant passing.

I know Pika has said the knights are fitter than last year but they are no where near the fittest team in the comp.

Mullo was brilliant when he came on and directed the team well at half.

Taia and Hilder were their usual workhorses and House played well.

Lulia went better than expected and did some really good things whilst McManus and Sau played extremely well.

Patto was down on form and Wicksy didn't make an impact.

3 from 5 and sitting comfy in the top 6...At the game it looked like the boys aimed up when needed..a few lapses close to the line that got them close.Id didnt particularly pay attention to gidley and sin bin..what really happened?

Agree that Gidley needs to give up the shots at goal however
