38 - 10 win. Started to lose their way in the last 20. With a convincing lead and shitty conditions as excuses. Would have liked to see them kick on though.

Finish 2nd on the ladder and a home semi as a reward.

Up 18-0. Lino looking confident after his time in First Grade.
Evidence of the process working?

Glad this team is going well, and still astonishing how few of them have had a crack in the top team given what a shambles that has been

Typical Australian media, the one guy selected in the starting line up played for Wentworthville - Faraimo while the other two that got to the TOTY are on the bench, Lino & T. Sipley. Pretty shitty for 2nd place IMO

There's no doubt Lino should've been selected in the team of the week more (which is presumably what made the difference between being named as a 'starter' or on the bench), but aside from that I don't really have many problems with those being the only Warriors selected.

The only guy that has a legitimate cause for complaint IMO is CNK - and he had the 'disadvantage' of playing 6 first grade games - unlike Sharpe. Everyone else I can see a more legitimate reason for missing out.

Maybe Manaia > Rein, but Rein is the NSW cup guys' darling (seriously, there's some major man-love there), and Manaia's bench role at the Jets + injuries hurts his claim. Mitch Williams at Wyong probably has a better claim than both.

Actually, Tof > the middles they picked to 'start' also.

Not a Warrior anymore, but if I were Marata Niukore I'd be angry - has had a very impressive year.

For Sydneysiders it's tight scheduling with our reserves at 4PM and firsts at 6:30PM, Kogarah to Leichhhardt.

Front rower Albert Vete has been named to make his return from a long injury lay-off for the Vodafone Warriors’ Intrust Super Premiership week one finals clash against Penrith at UOW Jubilee Oval in Sydney on Sunday (4.00pm kick-off local time; 6.00pm NZT).

Vete had been on the field just 12 minutes when he broke his right arm in the Vodafone Warriors’ 19th-round match against Manly in Perth on July 1.

He’s on the bench for the club’s ISP side in his first match in more than two months, joining three other props in Toafofoa Sipley, Chris Satae and Daniel Palavi.

Also returning is another big front rower Patrick Sipley, who’s back from suspension, while hooker Manaia Cherrington returns after missing last Sunday’s 38-10 win over Wests Tigers.

That victory sealed second spot for the Vodafone Warriors with 34 points after 13 wins, four draws and five losses. They finished four points behind Wyong and one ahead of the Panthers.

When they met in the regular season, the Vodafone Warriors and Penrith drew 26-26 at Pepper Stadium in May while the Panthers scored a 79th-minute try to win 22-19 at Mount Smart Stadium.

I'm seriously considering the same, even though my buddy has tickets for the NRL game. It will probably depend on how early I finish work... Kogarah is a longer journey for me, and it's on earlier.

I certainly would prefer the NSW cup game, anyway. We'll see.

If you're a bit of a cheapskate, like me, don't forget the reserves game is only ten bucks, access all areas!

I hope Lino isn't hooked at the last minute for first grade. He's such an important player for our semi-finals-playing side.

It's going to be hot weather tomorrow, late-20s max. Carnaval atmosphere!

Already got free tickets to the Leichhardt game :p

Not really a decision anymore as the to-do list piles up for tomorrow, almost certain that I'm going to miss the ISP game anyway - the earlier start time and longer drive makes it very hard to get to.
