Warriors play hardball with Shaun Johnson

Dylan Brown is a great prospect, so that's good - the kind of thing I'd expect from O'Sullivan. He's not ready though. Seems more like an eventual Green replacement (at 7, I assume they make that official now with Shaun gone), with CHT/Hayze developing into the 6 role (Hayze more likely in 2019 imo - just more polished right now - but perhaps more CHT long term with Hayze moving elsewhere... centres?).

The only thing I'm worried about is potential agent-driven signings. We're already deep into Issac Moses' stable, and I don't want Mitch. So... hopefully that sort of stuff doesn't happen.

Extremely left field here, no rumour or anything attached to it, just cooked up in my head, but I believe both Smith and O’Sullivan have links to Todd Carney from their Roosters days, give him a shot

In the latter years, all of the stuff he was getting in trouble for was harmless, I don’t think he would be a huge knock to the culture

Now I’ll go back to dreaming because it is 0% chance of happening

I don’t think Todd wants to be in the NRL these days. Iirc he’s now a captain coach in Group 437 or something.

He was a sick player. But a lot of that was based on physical attributes like speed. Not sure how that would be for him now.

I don't care who is right or wrong in the Warriors Vs SJ thing.
All I'm saying is, it will be bloody difficult watching him play against us (especially if he plays well)

You know he will have his best game.
But I'm sure the mind games will be huge and unless he improves dramatically there he could continue to crumble under pressure.

I just hope the team he goes to travels to Mt Smart to play, giving the fans the chances to boo. :)

You simple do not put Shawn in a number 6 Jersey. He must be number 7.

You're right, SJ gets hurt feels and you don't see him the entire game.. Who did that at the Warriors? Was it Matty Elliott along side Tommy? Could have been the Chad actually.

In reality he is a number 6, a very dangerous one at that. Will miss his X factor for sure. Time for both parties to move on IMO.

Yes please, nobody wins every year.

1. Moylan
2. Dugan
3. Morris
4. Xerri
5. Feki
6. Johnson
7. Townsend
Whether its the Sharks, Roosters or Storm that he's linked to, they all have impressive forwards and backline players to boot.

Just looked up that Dylan Brown that @jaseg mentioned - looks good. Young and promising but I doubt Kearney would chuck him a jersey. He is good though.

I’m hearing Raiders too. That would be a lol, is Hingano still there?
The 1 year deal is a big hindrance, you cant really build anything and would mainly use him to fill a gap for a year. I feel like that is more suited to Sharks since losing Holmes a year earlier than expected.

Question.

If Cameron George doesn’t believe Shaun Johnson is a $1m player. Wtf must he be thinking about the return on investment on Blair? His 6 hit ups per game for 45m at $800 large looks like a prudent signing.

I assume he’s being given the cold shoulder too?

Blair presumably hasn’t chucked his toys about not being able to expect a lucrative contract extension though

He's after consistency, so he's probably ok with Blair
