I'm struggling to see why we (Easts) would sign Johnson for 2020. We like to develop our own players. Lachlan Lam will be our halfback once Coops retires. Throwing big money at SJ7 isn't our modus operandi

There was a 1:36 video of the warriors CEO on nrl.com where he had some very strong and insinuating words on the matter, but the video seems to have been taken down and replaced by the generic cuddly/feely 3:00min presser. The did that pretty effectively at times with Green and Lino last year, obviously Lino is gone but he was hardly an irreplaceable talent, rather a solid first grade half at best. Obviously we still need a replacement but the days of "we're f**ked without Johnson are well in the past now.

Johnson is a touch player first and foremost. Moments of brilliance followed by times of stupidity.
