Warriors very unlucky

We had some winnable games we lost; blame those.

The Raiders game - we dominated possession for 75 minutes, can't score a try to save ourselves, and Alan Tongue grabs the winner.

The Dogs game - we should've won that one.

Simply put, the team started 4-8, and because of the cap, we were practically 2-10, and if you lose 10 of your first 12 games, there was really no way back.

I was passionately against the Warriors being docked points for this season and am even more agianst what happened now than I was before the season started.

My reasoning is that the offences were committed in a different year/s by different management. The current management at the club, when finding out about these irregularities seemed to co-operate completely with the league and was indeed the party that alerted the NRL in the first place.

Sure they probably wouldn't have gotten Wiki and Price, but the club was forced to let go the like of Jones, Meli, Betham and Iafeta (I'm not even going to atempt to spell his surname) to name a few.

Added to that the fact that they aren't over the cap this season, the decision to dock the club points for this season made little sense to me. My penalty would've been a fine and a stripping of points for the season's that they did cheat the cap.

The main losers in the whole process were the fans, and I didn't think it fair that they were put in a position where the team had almost no chance to make the finals before the season had begun (eventhough now they also know what it is like to support my club).

Taking points off them in a season when they are not cheating is ridiculous. Unfortunately they were not caught in the act and that is just the way it goes, the retrospective punishment thay have recieved is wrong in my opinion.

It isn't right for other clubs's fans to come around here sugesting what was right or wrong about what went on. There are alot of us who have moved on from that as have the players and the club itself. Whether we even deserved to be in the 8 after next week we will never know; but for anyone who isn't a hardy Warriors supporter to make comments as the ones being mentioned. Is beyond reckoning. Ie a bunch of over zealous Raiders and Doggies fans losing Pricey and Wiki to a club that was ranked three times lower from 2004-2005.
Just get over it people; Warriors are playing great football enjoy it for one more week and we'll see the rest of you in 2007
