Wayne Bennett and future coach talk

I'm surprised by the power that Midley apparently holds at the club. I always thought that he was appointed to his position purely to act as Tinkler and Palmer's puppet and to give the club more of a local flavour. He basically survived the downfall of the Tinkler era because he was seen by many as simply being the mouthpiece of HSG and nothing more.

Yet here we are now, and he has a massive say in the future direction of our club. Comes across as a very shrewd operator who was happily biding his time in the background.

I cannot stomach Weidler. Absolute low life. Always writing shit to ruin people's reputations. Anyhow I live in hope Stone can be tough and make the cut throat calls when required. If he wants to show he is boss then bye bye Kurt and Mason first and foremost. Too much young talent coming through to risk on sentiment. We have the Australian schoolboys halves For Christ's sake.

This is the same journo who for some reason continually interviewed and publicised the girl involved in the Ben Teo incident and made it look as though he had done something wrong. Not sure how much any of you know about that incident but Teo was crucified - wrongly. Teo is not the only player who ow refuses to answer this blokes questions at interviews.

That whole Teo saga just always had a sense of him being poorly treated. He was guilty before he even had a chance to protect himself. The mud has stuck. Well done Weidler you grub. This prick tried to defend Dank. He is a loser.

What is Teo doing next year? He would be a good buy for several clubs including us with his ability to play on the edges or in the middle.

Most people seem to think he's going to play rugby overseas but nothing has been announced yet.

Yet that was the last I had heard but it's been quiet on that front for a while, seems odd his putting off announcing that especially since it has caused no issues for Sam or SBW.

He's pretty much as good as gone to French Rugby.

I'd like to see us throw decent coin at him, but we need to have it thrown at a quality prop.

Yea I would love if we could land him. We could fit him in especially with Tapine playing prop now with 8. Snowden 10. K.Sims 11. T Sims 12. Scott 13. Teo 15. Rochow (prop) 16 Tapine (prop) 17 smith

We would be next to no chance of landing him but it's always fun to speculate.

What are you on about?

I read read article that dane wants to follow Wayne back to broncos and we will probably get Boyd as well, so that is pretty much your 2 best players.

Don't worry you will have plenty of free cap but.

Not by a long shot you idiot

I heard that if Neil Henry gets the Titans coaching gig for next year, Darius will be top of his shopping list.

Two best players???? Darius has been gone and the team is on fire. Gagai's defence is attrocious. I wish them all the best at their new clubs. I hope they are happy where they play and play their best footy there. We certainly haven't seen it though. .

They're certainly not our two best players (LOL!) but I personally think Gagai has been really good for us (even including his woeful defence).

Due to how bad we were for most of this season I think people are forgetting how good he's been for us. When the forwards were going forward last year and at the end of 2012 he was cutting sides to shreds, and I don't think it's a coincidence that he's come back into form this year when we've been beating sides in the forwards and he's had more space. Earlier in the year when he had no space and he was only used for hit ups he was useless because he's small and not strong. I love watching him run off Mullo though when they're both in form and the forwards are giving them space.

Saying that though, with Sione wanting a centre spot I wouldn't be trying to keep Gagai here if he doesn't want to be (and we've had zero indication he doesn't). Although I'd love for him to stay he wouldn't be a huge loss.

We don't need Boyd at all IMO. When the rest of the side already has the opposition beat he makes us extra dangerous, but he doesn't win us games. And like you said, we haven't missed a beat since he's been gone.

I believe that Boyds Contribution Value Rating for us is a big negative.
