and another thing, one time i saw this Australian film (cant remember the title) and on the front cover it had this guy wearing a shirt that said "get a dog up ya". yet it wasnt an ordinary shirt, the letters were printed on to the shirt like how the names are printed onto the back of a footy jersey, so obviously this guy loved this saying so much that he had it printed onto a shirt so he could display this saying to everyone, and that to me is damn funny, (yes little things piss me off and in turn, little things amuse me) Thanks for ruining that asshole.

LOL, I think that film was "Idiot Box"...

what a stupid thread. He's the most respected coach in the game by far and not by the media but by the people who actually spend time with him and know him. He doesn't play up to the media because he knows there are far more important things in this world than footy.

Could someone inform this fool that Bennett won a premiership with Souths in the Brisbane comp before becoming a premiership winning coach with and Canberra

Which premiershipdid bennet win with Canberra?

I recall him being CO-coach, with Don Furner for their '87 loss. But of course that was Bennet, not Furner - the coach of the unbeaten '86 roos, or the coach that took Canberra from scratch to GF'nalists in 5 seasons.

I like bennet but i would give Furner more praise for setting up the canberra sides of 89/90 than bennet.

Bennett took the Broncos from scratch to grand final winners in 5 seasons.

'Nuff said.

He had several game plans implemented there tonight

* Run numbers at Hill, it worked
* Run at Monaghan, it worked
* Bomb Brett Stewart, it worked

Credit to the man. 300 premiership game victories now.

He is the greatest coach of the modern era without a shadow of a doubt.

Ignoring all attempts to bait Brisbane and Rugby League fans in general...I will just add, Bennett now has 300 wins as a first grade coach after we took care of Manly last night 8)...nothing overrated about that.
