Is Siro still on the board?

Surely he'd ask his son how's things are (or were) at training?

Maybe he if still on the board, he is the one guy that complaints could be forwarded to? Remember way back when he was goingto be lost to the Tigers, he will recall what supporters did for him.

Re, a protest on Saturday night, I remember that Siro always stood in front of the beer truck just as you got to the main stand, prior to games, if I was in Sydney, I'd ask him on Saturday 'what's going on'. Actually get there early enough and you might even see Humphreys walk past.

Yeah like the fine young 1/2 back talent we've had since 2007 when Prince left..

John Morris - Our copper cronk
Tim Moltzen - Now a full back
Benji Marhsall - Worlds best 5/8 now having to play 1/2 when he's clearly not at #7
Miller - Gets one game here and there, so he can't build a combo
Lui - Sure its not sheens fault he is a women basher, however id say 70% of fans never rated him in attack or defence...especially not defence.
Matt Head - Coach hated him becuase he didnt train

Who am I missing?

Marshall has been fine at 7. He can play either 6 or 7 no problems.

I think Marshall at 7 will work better because it seems easier to get a 6 like Sirro or Moltzen or Anasta to slot into that role. Lui was also a 6.

We just need another good option in the halves but I don't see it as the real problem. I think there are enough options to fix this.

I think the real problem is that we have a bunch of average players within certain positions and it is hard for Sheens to swap it up.

Our outside backs in Ryan, Utai, Ayshford, Lote are all decent players but they all lack speed. One or even two of them would be fine but we can't have all 4 of them in the backline. On top of that we need a quality fullback and we need someone quick.

Our backrowers are also the same - Heighno, Blair, Fulton and Bell are all players that don't have a lot of impact. Fulton to me is a great player and he should get the 13 spot but he needs to be surrounded by backrowers that can really bend the line and put in defensively.

A lot of fans, supporters and members only care about Benji, 80 minutes per week, the full time score, whens fan day and how cheap they can get a jersey....nothing else

Will this fine young talent be played in their correct positions?
And in NRL games or just lower grade games, there in lies one big problem,Sheens is incapable of dropping a regular, just as he is promoting a junior or new player,he waits too long and gives them no real time or opportunity to succeed.

Josh Lewis, Blake Lazarus and Tom Humble come to mind who all fall into the Miller category of not getting a decent crack.

We are supported, by and large, by complete and utter spastics
After darling Timid put that kick off into row Z, whilst kicking into cyclone tracey i had a go at the genius and the bloke in front turned round and said `all you do is criticise'

"Well mate we're down by a thousand, to a team of spastics, with our season on the line but they're trying hey. Having a real dig eh "

After every u6 type mistake I piped up with a don't worry they're trying hard

FMD the sheer stupidity and acceptance of anything better than 15th by these morons is as big an obstacle to progress as the spastic in the white hat and headphones

Lewis the biggest loss of all

Get your hand off it.

Lewis was a nuffy and was never going to make it.

The issue with you which makes you so irrelevant is you believe you know more than a NRl coach when in fact what you post is manure.

Well, well. See they spoke about Sheens again on Fox Sports NRL show last night, naturally Brandy said Sheens was safe - that would be the old Penrith connection.

Journo's are now asking players? One, comes out and supports him naturally, but I believe that no player should be allowed to make any comment unless they are the club captain.

BENJI Marshall says the Wests Tigers should dump coach Tim Sheens only if there's a better candidate.

"And in my eyes, there is no one better (than Sheens)," Marshall said.

"It's part of sport, when a team is not having success, the first person they usually go to is the coach.

"We've seen it with (Warriors coach) Brian McClennan and (Parramatta's) Steve Kearney," he said.

"But you don't go out looking for another coach if there's nobody better.

"I think the way we play, he (Sheens) belongs here with us, and I really feel he should be here, too."

The Tigers have been the biggest flops in 2012, especially given their star-studded roster and the pre-season expectations, which had them premiership favourites with the bookies.

Should they lose to Melbourne on Saturday, it will mean Sheens-coached sides have reached September only three times in 15 years.

It is an abysmal record that has sparked fresh calls from angry Tigers fans to see him punted.

Marshall, however, said Sheens had full support of the dressing room, and he was still learning things about his game under the veteran coach.

So if it isn't the coach, where has it all gone wrong for the Tigers?

Injuries in key positions have not helped.

Marshall said nobody at the Tigers expected to be where they were sitting this late in the year.

"But we're here now, and we can't change anything," Marshall said. "Let me tell you, if we do get up and win this week, which I'm confident we can, and other results do go our way, you don't want to play us."

Lewis had just two things he did very well which is what we have always needed and lacked since prince left.

A good long kicking game and good passing.

He was no Cronk, but we don't need that. He woukd have been a perfect fit at halfback.

My problem is, i see blatantly obvious mistakes, whereas you have no objectivity whatsoever.

Nothing in football is perfect, but you seem to try very f**king hard to dispel that, thinking everything is fine and finishing outside the top 4 is ok, even missing the finals is fine.

Lewis's problem was he went missing in big games. It is actually why I couldn't understand why Sheens didn't give him a chance.

He plays Wests Tigers brand football in that respect.

What will be the excuse if Melbourne put 50 on us?

There are always plenty of excuses. Should we run a pre-poll on what Teflons first excuse will be if we get beaten?

PS I hope we do win it as a send off for Gareth. He deserves a win even if the team and coach are struggling. He is going to be a huge loss.

Blair just has not made the grade and is a waste of space. Where else but WT under Teflon would he even dare making a statement to the media that he expected to write off an entire season's effort from Blair (2012) whilst he found his feet at WT. Can you imagine that anywere else after signing a $500k p.a player?????

To be fair to Blair I thought in the last game we played he really put in but I agree that on the coin that he is on he has been a massive waste of money.

As for taking time to find his feet I just don't get it.

I dont know how any one else feels but i find Benji's comment "you don't want to play us" embarrassing, obviously the WT did not want to play the Roosters last week.

Have to say that I find the comments being quoted coming from WT players, coach and officials to be very unrealistic and showing a total lack of understanding of what is going wrong with the team. If they dont know, or want to know, what is wrong and nto working, how in the hell can they fix it?

Yes, of course you have to back the team and 'inspire' them but this is getting into denial territory. Goes to show coach and team / key players are too close and that such decisions on coach etc should not be made by any player/s but the supposedly cool, rational board and CEO.

True 05,at times this year i have noticed Blair at least trying but to no avail,he just doesn't seem to be effective in any department. The amount of coin he is on is not his fault but that of the WT management who gave the go for his signing.
The WT are to Blair what Alan Bond was to Kerry Packer,a once in a life time opportunity to make money, and you cant blame the player for that, even though he does play s##t most of the time.

Benji says that injuries in key positions have not helped.

Why not call someone up who had trained their entire career in that position instead of weakening strengths to strengthen weaknesses.
What changed in today's game that blokes in reserves don't get called up anymore when their postion of expertise becomes open through injury.

It's another cop out to save Sheens.
