We don't deserve to be in the finals simple!

We beat them in Wellington on Saturday! Easy as.

Love your passion mate but the Dragons record we have is astonishing we rarely beat them like Manly. It will turn this whole shit week around for me if we manage to get the W for this one

interesting watching Widdop and Benji v Knights,, they had no structure, seemingly no plan. Their play was off the cuff, but they supported each other,, they were each others shadows..

and it worked very well.

As for another upcoming opponent, Penrith know how to blow an early lead almost as good as us.

Easy. He's checking out. And, frankly, already has checked out. How does a bloke have a try scoring record like him in the ESL but have absolutely no running game? He's not fast. He's so weak he couldn't bruise a grape. He doesn't have a tricky side step on him. All he has is a tip on play. Thats it. I can honestly recall the lad having ONE line break from a kick return in his entire time as a Warrior. Value for money? Yeah right. If you're on that sort of quid you need to provide a return, it can't just be a simple link man player.

I missed the bit where he checked in tbh

You're bang on, he's been a source of quick hands at second receiver and been lauded for that.

That aside he's been a huge disappointment for mine - weak returns, weak defence, slipping over endlessly etc etc...

Yes, he helps give our attack structure, but that's probably more an indictment on the lack of football IQ in the backline with him (including the golden boot) rather than any wonderful skill he has - no doubt his fans will leap to his defence, but I've been consistently underwhelmed

I worry for RTS - who IS a star, put him in that rabble and will he develop to being the next Hayne/Inglis or will he regress?

That's why I wanted Nightingale (Signed with Dragons) and Perrett (Whom is still not contracted for 2016) They have intelligence. And they really show their disappointment when they screw up and not smile it off after the boys rub their heads and say its okay bro next time :?

We need mental strength I hope someone in the Warriors comes on here and can see what we see. The issue is intelligence get some thinking footballers on our team. Let the Auckland based juniors see and learn

Our rookies are good kids. We flush out the stragglers and the probable bad habiters like Lousi, Ika, Rapira (in his latter days), Havili and co, and we're left with guys who I genuinely believe want to be NRL players and good ones at that.

Someone said Chad had checked out early...nah. He tried last night, he's just an awful first banana.

And I've tried to defend Tomkins previously but he leaves us in 5 weeks without any signs of improving as a footballer in any aspect. If he came down to prove himself in the best competition in the world there's no doubt of his failure.

RTS will go well at the warriors, he runs very direct lines quite different to Tomkins and is robust, if anything RTS and Luke will help shape how our team goes forward with momentum.

After 2 seasons why has nobody taken Tomkins aside and bought him new boots or longer sprigs. You spend $800k per season on a player and all he does is slip over 50% of the time!

Also the Warriors need to do some serious investment into Fusitua - He can become a very outstanding first grade player and the priority must be to make sure he is the real deal, ready willing and able come RD1, 2016.

One of the best athletic prospects we have had in the Warriors backline. Needs some serious tutoring though. I would bring Gasnier over to spend time with him. Get his head in the game.

Huge failure imo - I am still astounded that many defend him - yes he's a good player - but his performances have been well short of the expectation - which was that he'd be as good as any fullback in the NRL - tbh he's well in the bottom half - he'd be on money the equivalent of any, but at a pinch only Eels, Newcastle, and the Titans would probably regard him as an upgrade (I might have missed someone)

As above, on attack he offers what Bernie McAhill used too - good hands...

I would t even say good hands.

The only time he has shown anything is when he plays off the back of SJ..

He is too keen to just give early ball to Hurrell and Kata sometimes, which is a good idea at other times. Doesn't look like he is a guy that can be the number 1 go to option to create on an average side, has to be the guy that is a cog behind a number 1 or 2 option it seems.

And reading through these Sharks threads, not sure why some people chose this week as the week to lose the plot. We have a solid forward pack, some battering rams in the backs and then a spine of a guy who is just good for some solid running out of dummyhalf, a 20 year old who is again just a good ball runner currently playing halfback and a 5/8th who has to have a dominant attention drawing halfback next to him so his dummy and run works occassionally. It's gonna be tough to put points on the board unless those battering rams work from time to time, no one to actually put the strong ball runners into even half a hole.

The Warriors should of gave Townsend the boot to NSW and played Tomkins at 6. He reads play very well and could of really made a fist on it in the halves at NRL level with his passing game.

The requirements of an NRL quality fullback are very demanding. In effect they almost play like running backs in the NFL now. You have to be a complete package with power, vision, agility, acceleration, speed and footwork/trucking ability. Tomkins certainly has vision and agility with above average footwork but that is not enough in the NRL for a fullback - and he has really struggled.

Im disappointed McFadden, management and even Doyle did not address this and move him to 6. Could of impacted our season positively. Johnson and Tomkins getting more ball at the line is the best thing possible for the warriors and certainly would of afforded us more creative line plays.

This places bemuses me in how it defends some players to the hilt often undeserved (actually not just players, McFadden seems to be a protected species around here when it was open season on the previous couple of coaches).

Tomkins has been average since arrival yet after every game the one or two good things he did are seized on as examples of how well he's doing.

He got so many plaudits after the Roosters game (that I was at the ground for) that I re-watched that loss again on tv to see if he was any better. And yes, he may have done a couple of good things, but he did his usual shit ones as well.

Oh, and his tattoo on his leg is uglier than the angel wings on the neck that seem to be in fashion amongst all the religious players these days.

I've got no idea why McFadden isn't in the gun more, and I don't just mean here - I mean the media too. f**k me, the Herald wrote a story about him being at the club for the next 10 years!! Wut?

Fairly sure his numbers are worse than Elliott's. And Elliott may have had the 62-6 shemozzle but he also had 5 in a row from there including the eventual premiers and other decent sides. Cappy has Melbourne twice - a side we've always got up for - and bugger all else in two seasons. Not competing v Manly, the Roosters isn't good enough, nor is the fact that every win apart from the Storm match was against a bottom 8 side (the Sharks were sinking when we beat them *just*)

And now he gets gift-wrapped a top-four side (on paper) thanks to Uncle Jim for 2016. If he's not the man for the job - as a lot of us presume he isn't - that's going to be a bitter pill to swallow if we can't cash in on what we're going to have.
