We kept the right half

Going by this thread, we kept the wrong half tonight. Dureau should go okay against the Eels on Sunday so it'll change again
Dureau actually has to play Sunday...if Rogers is better he has to be a chance of playing...

Walshy's running game was first class tonight. Whether that makes him better than Scottie I don't know, personally I think there both pretty bloody average.

Why bring Rogers in? As all the anti Dureau brigade were quick to say, don't change a winning formula. We beat the top of the table side with him at 7, which in turn allowed Mullen to play in his preferred position, and as a result we saw one of his best games. We'll embarrass the Eels with Dureau, no need to change.

If the only defence you have to keep him in the squad is "don't change a winning team", then you have an incredibly weak arguement. What about the fact that he was mostly rubbish against the Dogs? What about the fact he has mostly been absent in our most recent wins?

There is also the fact Mullen plays infinitely better in the position Smith, Gould, many many league experts and even the man himself have said he is both suited to and prefers.

Then again I'm sure you're a better judge than all of them, I mean you know where Mullen prefers and plays better than he does himself afterall.

Just to start with.

Dureau is crap, end of story. I supported him through thick and thin and then realised he didn't justify it. Rogers is playing well surprisingly. Mullen plays better in the 6, but the way they swap amkes it less than vital that he play there.

Yeah I'm interested to hear this.

It was the reason he was dropped last week (as far as I know) but it's NOT the reason he will not play tomorrow.

nothing sinister, just very strong mail that he was that he wasn't left out because he was crook. Probably just part of the rotation. Agree that it would seem strange that t hey would "hide" behind him being unwell.

C'mon your on line answer the question?
Cram, sorry mate but I was told that he had simply been left out last week. As I said probably only part of the rotation.
Out of interest, do we believe the side performs better with Dureau or Rogers. I probably think that the rotation of the halves is working well to date.

Don't know really...I have seen Dureau do some good things but also some bad, and vice versa with Rogers...

What I would like to see is a halves combination that is established and does well because that's what wins games.

For example and in my opinion, I believe the forward battle was even in SOO the other night but QLD's halves combo far out played NSW's....you need good halves to win games, when games are tight.

Please don't ask that question. It starts ridiculously biased arguments with little facts, or giant oversights of facts.

How about we leave it at, we play well when Mullen is in the halves.
