Like I said. So off the mark. The point isn't that he is focusing on them being decision makers, it is that he has not been able to get them to play better and in fact they have regressed. In other words he hasn't been successful.
It is a damning statement on his ability as a coach. I also partially blame Moses for this though. He should be doing extras with his back rowers and centres for hours on end. He should be living and breathing ways to work plays with his runners. At this stage of his career he should not be content with what is happening out there and driving his own growth and evolution in his comprehension of the game.
He should be telling the coaching staff that things are just not jelling and that they need to change their approach. Coaches would generally love to see that approach and ownership from their leaders. I would suggest this does not and has not happened because we are still playing like the blind, deaf and dumb out there. It would not, could not be like that if they were doing these things at training. They are just way to talented to get it so bloody wrong all the time.
