Possibly , Hopgood will do ok, he lacks size to be a prop which we need, he is a lock in the Radley mould, but we have Matto there.

my point is, losing 6 players well before the start of the season, has the club done enough to cover their loss. Would you think for a moment that the Roosters and others would sit back, I’m disappointed at the lack of apparent urgency in covering those players. Maybe MON is like a duck, calm of the surface, paddling furiously underneath, but to sit back and let the roster weaken is an issue.

Here’s the real dilemma, who actually replaces, Nikore, Kaufusi, Papalii, Opacic, and look what we lost when Stone wasn’t available, JA stepped into that area, a 19 year old making a massiv step up physically.

No experienced half recruited is a lesson for the people responsible for building a club. The Riff signed OSullivan as cover, sensible and we did what, nothing it seems.

I would expect
- Russell is being groomed as the Opacic replacement for next year ... and there is Dunster
- Hopgood will be a middle ... but yes he is not a big middle
- Matto might potentially move back to an edge .... I don't know if thats a good thing, he has gone ok in the middle
- agree we need to find a big middle (or 2) .... I think its clear we tried Tapau and Klemmer

I look for a halfback that has vision. He has it. He should not be in first grade as he has weaknesses and Cleary showed his easily yesterday.
We all know he is slow and lateral movement is horrible BA should also know that. Cleary knew it and as soon as he came onto the field attacked him.

He does have good vision, too bad he moves like he has cerebral palsy.

Blake was the worst player on the field nothing surer, little Jakey didn’t help matters but with 6 errors Wanker cost us any chance of winning last night. Arthur’s effort last night just proved to us all he’s not a first graders arsehole and the only reason he is anywhere near the side is his last name.

I think I may have spotted Waqa’s problem catching a ball. FMD!!

As I've said in the past I'm no Arthur fan either and personally wouldn't include him in the squad.

However, I have no doubt that if he had a different last name there wouldn't be as much focus on him. Its all some merkins on here post about FFS.

But he does have that last name, it’s not like Bea hasn’t continually copped it in the past for continually picking absolute plodders. Luke Kelly, Sef Paulo and Kaysa Prichard just to name a few.

A cardboard cut out of Paul Carige would’ve been less of a liability. Anyone who can catch and not get pushed back 20m every time they take a hit up would be fine.

The alternative is Simonsson and he’s even worse. Would contribute nothing to yardage gain, isn’t a great finisher and isn’t great defensively.

Mate I bagged those 3 selections relentlessly, maybe Jake cops it worse but have we ever seen such an average young footballer get such a feee ride??? Someone said he’s played more games of first grade at 19 than Jarryd Hayne. If true that’s said and laughable.

I know he had a very poor game but we need Waqa Blake in the side to be a chance of doing anything in this finals series. Anyone who wants him replaced with Simonsson should be careful what they wish for.

Agree, he had a shocker and he is heart attack Material but he is our best option …. Particularly at this time of the year.
Simonson is a no from me …. I would have liked Russell to be given some time In firsts following his return from injury but Too big a risk to bring him in now ( and yes I know he is suspended so it’s moot piping anyway)

...thats a questionable assumption imo and goes to the heart of why the criticism is greater because of his surname.
