Nothing to do with a superior stadium nearer the corporate market with far superior revenue raising facilities?
im sure moving closer to the 13k people in redfern is a key motivator lol
Mascot
Botany
Marouubra
Alexandria
Etc

the stadium is still further away from their home territory than hull kr and their home ground or the kc stadium lmao

If Sydney clubs were all like afl and from suburbs all within ten kms of a centralised ground it might work
Thats the difference sydney is built differently, the suburbs and clubs are spread out, in comparison to the Melbourne city set up, centralised stadia works for them coz they can all access it, but sydney has the northern beaches, sutherland, campbelltown, and penrith, all spread out in different directions, even homebush being in the centre doesn't help that model for NRL...
Heard souths are leading themselves back to allianz, which will leave the tigers and dogs the only clubs in the vicinity of homebush stadium

Again do you think the 90k members of carlton live in carlton that has a Population of 19k? Or it could it be they come from all over melbourne? Many Nrl clubs in sydney have stuck to their little enclaves and it shows in sub 20k memberships and sub 14k crowds. Some have woKen up to the fact that you dont have to confine yourself to the small suburb youre named after.

That’s not so true about Sydney clubs you see them everywhere really

my mates a manly fan he lives in Croydon park
My other mate is a sharks fan he lives in stanmore
Another dragons he’s in earlwood etc

but the reality is all those melb clubs are all from neighbouring suburbs close to the centre

it would be like all the Sydney nrl clubs being from balmain Glebe Waverley Bondi etc

Sydney clubs aren’t all located close to the cbd

and indeed many are located in what would actually be their own cbd

afl and nrl have their own strengths and weaknesses. Trying to cut and paste the afl into the nrl won’t work it’s just naive thinking

So you think people in Melbourne's outer suburbs don't watch games?

And despite being originally from those suburbs a lot of the clubs don't seem to of stuck with it. I live in Hawthorn and based on supporter gear I see I wouldn't be surprised if hawthorn wasn't even the most popular team here, even the university is a major sponsor of Richmond, and yet Hawthorn have 80k members, somewhere

Didn’t say that but the location of afl clubs in melb is different to the location of nrl clubs in Sydney

most of our inner city clubs died off

The "location" in the clubs name is irrelevant if they can appeal to the entire city
Rugby league was (partly) formed because the nswru didn’t want to play games in clubs suburban areas

if location doesn’t mean much for afl that’s their loss

go ask the Penrith players what winning a comp for their area means

Yeh 80k members and 50k crowds, some loss!
you’ve made your point yourself some Sydney clubs have fans all over the city,Mehta they dont have is a stadium central to all those city wide fans, so they continue to only attract the ones near there traditional base/stadium And be stuck in outdated and inadequate stadia.

I thought you’d been to hull? If you had you know why there’s no way hkr would play at a stadium built a stones throw away from the boulevard.
If they’d built the stadium in the city centre like the original plan both clubs would have played in it. But then we wouldn’t now own an incredibly valuable asset and surrounding land and may be in Hfc financial troubles due to the rent conditions. Hey ho.

none of which has got anything to do with Sydney clubs recalcitrance to modernise And maximise both quality stadia and city wide fanbase.

So wait

your club refuse to play in a stadium close by but you want Sydney clubs travelling ten times the distance to play in a centralised stadium

never change pr this is hilarious !

Apples and oranges. The two fanbases in hull are very clearly split by the river. you yourself have said nrl clubs fans are spread all over sydney.

Kogorah to allianz, Cronulla to allianz, manly to allianz, belmore to allianz, leichardt to commbank. How many of those are 64kms away? You are prone to exaggeration lol
