They will need time to gell, especially in defence. The first few games could be a bit ugly though. That was a stinker yesterday
bit more worried now
yep, crowds are a better metric... as if the Suns have 21k season ticket holders, give me a break
Objection, supposition your honour. lolI reckon AwFuL lie about crowds too. Carrara and Sydney Showgrounds are 75-90% empty more often than not, yet we're opposed to believe they're getting 10-15k through the gates.

I have no doubt all sports/clubs are fudging figures. They're not being audited on these things so can report what they like.
We've seen free memberships added into NRL clubs tallies, Magic weekend crowds boosting attendance avg's, Union not even reporting crowds, AFL crowds not tallying with look at games, membership numbers not matching revenue line items etc etc.
Take everything with a pinch of salt and you're probably not far off.

That's bennett for ya, you'd think he was doing that on purpose... just to show certain players that they are really not meant to be in 1st grade yet..Bennett's team's never trial well

A hat trick for the titans in the 1st 12 minutes all down brenko lees centre area, he just either ran up way too early and left his newbie winger bostock with an overlap everytime... brenko is not a centre, barely a 1st grader, coach subbed him for Aiken, all that shit stopped and dolphins got back into the game, i doubt we see brenko much this season..perfect wakeup call for them
That doesn't make sense, given the Cowboys have cut all ties with Cairns and Mackay and are only aligned with Townsville.Interesting little snippet on choice of name. QRL wont allow an NRL club name in Qlnd cup. Also NRL requirement for, presumably just QLnd clubs, to be affiliated with more than one Qlnd cup club. They wanted Sunshine Coast and ended up with CQ after Falcons extended with Storm.
“We weren’t allowed to be called Redcliffe or we wouldn’t be allowed to play in the Queensland Cup,” Reader said. “[NRL clubs] must have multiple affiliates in the QRL competition, so we have got Redcliffe and the Capras.
Why 75 years of history sets Dolphins apart from other expansion teams
If the NRL had promotion for clubs outside the Telstra Premiership, the Dolphins would be the model.www.nrl.com

need to follow GWS's lead in counting members - maybe count anyone who's been to "Bee Gees Way" a Dolphins member, or just anyone who's bought a Bee Gee's album. Also in that article, membership at 15,000. Not outstanding, not terrible. A solid base to build from.
North Queensland pathways
The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys are committed to creating pathways for 'homegrown' rugby league talent through our close affiliation and support of Queensland Cup feeder teams Townsville Blackhawks, Northern Pride and Mackay Cutters.www.cowboys.com.au
That means the NRL club will either remain as The Dolphins or become the Moreton Bay Dolphins. There was a dispute between them and the Moreton Bay Regional Council over their name. The MBRC wanted them to be the Moreton Bay Dolphins. They provided significant sponsorship to the club.
NRls push for a true reserve grade will see a number of NSWRL and QRL clubs go under or drop down divisions. Like Ive been saying to MugaB unless you have pokies or NRl club funding its unviable to run a team in the second tier. That date of that link is unclear.
We know for a fact that no NRL squad members are being allocated to Mackay or Cairns.
Hopefully this means the Cowboys will still fund these sides, as they will very shortly not exist otherwise.
