Heard today from a good source that Lyon will sign for the Eels shortly after getting in touch with the Eels players and getting their full backing for him to re-join.

He was keen on a stay at Saints but family issues mean he will move on!

Bigg loss for us but we always expected him to leave - top bloke and a hope he wins you back over!!!

Easiest way for him to get the players' full backing - throw a couple of grand on the bar. That should last them about half an hour.

that may be so, lowey but we're still waiting for him to return a signed contract which the club has sent him at his request, until that's done, anything can happen.

Three things i noted from that clip:

1. He is a good finisher, but that has never been in question.
2. He is wearing number 3 in every clip (which should end all this talk about him having played five-eight while at St Helens)
3. Hit the hole well, but the way we play, you need to create for yourself as a centre, & especially so if you are going to play five eight.

Don't the English have fullbacks???

Suity

...or left centres lol

IF this guy has his head right, I can't see him as anything other than an asset to the club.

Pity the clips only show some of the finishing and not the creative play he did for most of the season.

Yeah that's right we dont have any good full backs - which is why the Gold Coast have been sniffing the ring piece of Richie Mathers for over a year (about the 6th best full back in Super League).

We also never had any decent wingers untill Carney went to the NRL - now all of a sudden his rated as a top winger.

And the person is correct who states players over here keep the same number - however Lyon has not played Five Eigth for us apart from 2 games last year.

I can't wait to see him rip it up for you lot next year.
