2011 WA Reds SG Ball Jersey

I don't mind the layout but not a real fan of the Grey. I agree that it needs to be the Black, Gold and Red. What shade of Gold or Yellow is up for debate. Casually the Red is a perfect counter point to the Western Force's Blue which can only help the potential West Australian customer who's knowledge of the Rugby codes may be limited.

Can someone mock it up with yellow instead of silver

That's not a bad jersey, pitty about the non-existing WA colours on it though. Also their name 'western' and not Western Australia makes it hard for some to know what area the team represents.

Agreed. I hate the name "Western Force", just another abstract nothing namer like Glory, Power, Fury. They really should have been called something like the Western Australia Swans or Perth Swans.

Perhaps these questions have been asked somewhere else in this thread and I apologise if they have, but I don't have the time to read 44 pages. I looked for these answers on the WA Reds site without luck.

But just some questions about the bid, specifically on the financial side:

Does anybody know the financial structure of the proposed club? We expect that as with 14 other NRL teams the WA Reds will post annual financial losses, at least through their early seasons. Other clubs have private owners, league's clubs and news ltd to bear the burden of those losses. What do the Reds have?

Freo have been up here in Kal this week doing kids fumbleball clinics. I noticed several ads about it in the Kal Miner rag made by Integrated. Do RL sponsors take on a pro-active role to promoted a club they sponsor?

I think the main v should be black, with the smaller v and grey trim replaced with 'old gold'. Flip the black n red for home and away.

Anyone on here with actual contact/involvement with the bid needs to be pushing for red and yellow...looks brilliant

I'm unsure whether the yellow should be such a bright shade though - the more I think about it, something closer to "old gold" or even a sandy yellow would look better..

but this is definitely on the right track.

Here is a sandy yellow, I like it more than old gold.

apple, that looks sensational.

Seriously, someone needs to get that to the reds hiearchy because IMO that would be one of the best looking jerseys I have ever seen.

apple, what about changing those grey lines on the sleeves to old gold as well??? I would love to see what that looks like.

It's amazing how much of a difference changing that double-chevron from grey to yellow makes!

Classy jersey, represents WA well and most importantly doesn't clash with any other club!

3rd'ing that someone better be emailing these designs to the WARL.
