Probable line-up for the Gunners -

--------------Almunia--------------
--Sagna--Toure--Pasha--Clichy--
-Eboue-Fabregas-Gilberto-Diaby-
-----Van Persie-----Adebayor-----

Hleb (if fit) may start ahead of Eboue and Flamini could hold his spot ahead of Gilberto. Otherwise that's likely what it'll be. Gallas still not ready so Pasha stays in. Rosicky also still out as is Lehmann.

What's Ashton got now, 3 in 3? He's coming back to match fitness. No goals this weekend will be good, but watch him fire again following this match :D

This will be the Hammers squad.

Green, Neill, Ferdinand, Upson, Gabbidon, McCartney, Bowyer, Mullins, Noble, Etherington, Ashton, Cole, Pantsil, Collins, Spector, Ljungberg, Parker, Boa Morte, Davenport, Reid, Bellamy.

Not sure how they will line up at this stage and who will play. Parker and Freddie are fit but our mid field has been our strength to date so it's probably only Mullins that may lose his spot to one of them.

Bellamy is still a maybe, we can't win with a front row pairing of Ashton and Cole so him playing is a must...

Neil and Ferdinand have been a disgrace of late and we will leak a bunch of goals if they are as bad as they have been the last couple of weeks..

In saying all that, last year we were complete bollox most of the year but still did the double over Arsenal and Man U so a win cannot be ruled out here...

As long as it doesn't blow out i will be happy... Probably won't get to see the game until tomorrow due to an AFL party today/tonight that will probably go to the early hours (and they don't have foxtel).... Don't even like AFL but i do like a beer or two :)

Cmon you Irons !!

Well the better team won the game but gee, someone explain to me the calls of offside on Ashton and Freddie...

1-1 would have been handy..

Not sure about the Ashton one, but Almunia saved it anyway. Freddies should have stood.

Didn't get a replay, but thought Fabregas had a fair shout for a penalty midway through second half. Noble probably should have walked too.

Ref wasn't real good, but thats Wily.

Hammers worked hard. Didn't overly threaten.

Gunners value for the win, but West Ham showed they will be no push over especially at home.

Good to finally get one back on ya :D

I think West Ham can take more out of the game then Arsenal can. For a team running high on form and expected to challenge for the title, they didn't threaten as much as I'd feared after that initial goal. Granted, Green kept us in things, but Arsenal clocked off early when they should have been going for the throat.

Only have top take 3 points. So Hammers can take what they like from the game :D

Yep, Green kept it respectable.

No going for the throat needed we've got a champions league game on Tuesday night. Job done.

Game day V Aston Villa.. Hard to figure out what the team will be once again as the injury count continues. I am assuming that Ferdinand is out and i beleive parker will be out again. Bellamy had an operation on his groin recently so chances of him playing a probably very small.

Assuming the above is true i would go with the following line up

Green

Mcartney Upson Gabbidon Neil

Etherington Noble Bowyer Ljumberg

Ashton Camara

We are light on for back up strikers.. I find myself nearly hoping that Bobby Z is fit...

Lets hope Green continues his fine form.. We are going to need him.. No doubt Reo coker will be out to have a big one, he is certainly talented enough he just has massive atitude problems though i still wish him well...just not in this game :)

Bring it on midnight tonight..

Forever blowing bubbles...

I thought Ljumberg looked good last week against his former club. Villa should be a test, and I'll be staying up to see how it goes.

Yep he played well.. Will be great if and when our midfield comprises Freddie, Faubert, Parker and Noble... Although in saying that i cant fault Etherington and to a lesser extent Bowyer ( i find it hard to praise him as he is such a w*nk)..

Hopefully a few quality strikers are added in January... No doubt some defenders will be brought in the way this current lot are going... They are made to look better then they are by Green but to be honest they had little clue against Arsenal last week..

Neil was great last year, been ordinary and just plain slack a fair bit this year perhaps the captaincy is affecting him a bit...

Well, now I see why Hammers fans call him Can't Control. f**king dud. We could have drawn or won that game on the back of some of the opportunities sent his way - but he f**ked them all up.

What a discraceful effort, i note that we no longer play through the midfield which brought early sucess this season and have reverted back to last years idea to simply hoof the ball forward as far as possible and hope to catch the opposition out... The same play that seen them in the bottom three for most of the year..

Curbishley has been blaming the ref saying it's the second week in a row that has cost us a point, last week a bad call cost us a underseved point but htis week there was no way, he's joking if he wants to blame the ref..

Game plan was either sh*te or not followed and picking Mullins ahead of Noble is a what the? Mullins was the same guy that kept Mascherino out of the team... Strange...

Less said about Carlton Cole the better... Ashton needs to learn to do the hard stuff and set up a goal or two of his own instead of sitting back and waiting for it to fall at his feet...

Fortunately a week off now and Bellamy should be back for the next game..

It appears that Ashton is injured now along with Camara from the Villa game...

Thankfully we have a 2 week break... It's going to be a long long season...

We can't all jump on a winning bandwagon. Some of us prefer to support a team through the good times and bad - not just because they're winning.

I can't be the only one who saw the irony in that.

Yeah, I jumped off a team I hadn't followed in four years who are in League One to support a team that narrowly avoided relegation. Masterstroke by me.[/sarcasm]
