We've talked about it. Now it has to happen by the look of things. Who will be FB?

And who do we put at centre? I'd Bukuya there.

That would work but shit isnt he doing a job at back row. You could get away with Buks to Centre, Taga to SR if we brought Green into the bench as a prop rotation I guess. Dunno if Best could do the job at FB anymore TBH. But im sure he has played there many many times though.

If Gards was only out for 2 or 3 weeks, we could use Carney.

As he is out for ages, let's get someone in there that is a long term prospect.

Exactly what I was getting at with the depends on this, depends on that post earlier.

Going to have to find a fullback or manufacture one and stick with them.

Sorry, Off topic, but I just noticed Since 73's signature

Amco Cup - the one that matters.

Not sure if you are aware, but the Sharks have another first grade title, the Toyota-Thiess Trophy (also known as the Endeavour Cup), which they won in 1971.

Pickerd is ordinary as a fullback. Rank ordinary.

First year in NYC and played ALL his previous football as a centre.

Nowhere near ready to make the jump after 6 games as a FB in NYC. Most of which have been next to awful.

When will Sharks fans work out you don't choose people on flash and try scoring ability alone. Get over that thinking. It's loser thinking.
He has played a lot more than 6 at FB. If you don't rate his games at FB in NYC how can you possibly rate Ike,s in NSW Cup. Anonymous/ordinary to say the least. Not saying Luke is the answer but Ike certainly isn't. Unfortunately we win close games by dour great defensive efforts. Matt wright offers nothing in attack but is ok in defence. I fear he will get the nod with Mills returning to the wing. We are in for some backsto the wall performances like in 2008. Best would be my pick at FB with Bakuya to centre.

Hey all, long time lurker. Ike to FB for mine if available. Deffinitly not TC we need him at 5/8. Best just had his best game in a long while, I would be hesitant to move him.

Its not like we are trying to replace Slater.

If we hadn't lost De Gois I would have said Morris.

Just somebody safe at the back.

Ike has played fullback in the NRL flipper. That's where he gets his ratings from.

Pickerd - 6 or 26. Doesn't matter. He's simply not ready. Not good enough yet. He is far too brittle in defence and far too scared under bombs.

Is he your son?

I can't even be bothered with the rest of your fluff. Why not just move everyone around?

Best to FB

Why not. I'll guarantee you he is the B Plan. When he was dropped to reggaes he didn't go back and play wing. He went to FB and he did well.

He hasn't done anything wrong since he came back into the NRL.

He deserves a chance if that's how they go

He hasn't done anything wrong, but has not set the world on fire ether. Everything about him screams pedestrian. He is safe so I guess we could do worse but fullback is such an important attacking position. We need to start scoring more and Wright at fb does not help this IMO.

Is Gordon or Mills even fit to play this week ? Just going from the casualty ward they're listed at Rnd 8 for their return from injury..

What helps then? Someone who scores as many tries as Gards?

Frenz you are beginning to resemble the departed Reefy. People are only looking at the alternatives. Gards was the best of an average bunch , so there is no obvious solution. Searching for Waaka has distracted you. I know moving players is not ideal but i suggested Best as he is quite safe and can offer something in attack. Ike possesses the qualities of speed and ok in defence too but lacks ways of becoming involved in the game. if he becomes consistently involved I agree he could go well.

Best would go ok at the Back but the extra work could also bring him undone in the fitness side of things.
I would straight out pick wright because it has a little change on the team, but could have massive probs in team structure

I know plenty on here are not a fan of Stapo but for me he is the obvious choice to fill in for gards. Safest we have under the high ball imo. Its been more good luck than anything that opposition teams haven't been scoring more off bombs with our approach of not attacking the high ball. Anyone know how far stapo is off?

We've few options (Ike, Stape unavailable) and ultimately we want the least disruption. Wright to f/back and bring young Callum Tutauha onto the wing. Nice time for baptism coming in on the back of 4 wins.

I agree. I'm a Stapo fan. He's "due" back Round 12 but what that means is the guess of anybody. Besides I don't think he can be rushed into the NRL side coming back from another major injury.
