For the record the CSSC is currently working with the Sharks club to sort out an option that will allow us to incorporate both our own sponsors, as well as push revenue back into the club.

That said, as Mr Angry has already mentioned - for the most part we are absolute tragics, and most of our members would have disproportionately large amounts of Sharks merch. Just because we don't wear it at the game doesn't mean we don't own it.

The people who attack them for wearing a support club jersey...sheesh...

Do you really think that someone who buys a season ticket and joins a supporters club doesn't have an official one (or several) already?

And even if they don't - they're already substantially contributing to the club by buying a season ticket and food and drink at the games.

Brilliant supporters group. League needs more like them.

The more supporters groups like them the better.
They are a good group to sing against too. Easily my favourite RA game of the year.

The CSSC spend tens of thousands supporting the Sharks. Since I became a member of the CSSC when they first started I have flown down from Townsville to a number of Shark Park games and spent my hard earned at the club.

The CSSC contribute hundreds of hours of FREE labour working at Sharks stalls, handing out supporter flyers at stations for THE CLUB.

The CSSC rallied scores of members to fork out $200+ to buy wall of support plaques.

But all this doesnt seem to count to some because they don't wear the official Sharks merch that they DO OWN at the actual game.

HAHHAHA. How stupid. Most where a sharks polo or jersey under their CSSC shirt to stay warm anyway.

Great group... had some hard times this year. Nice bunch of guys and girls too, hopefully the RA continues to have a good relationship with these guys.

Ive got a question about the shirts they all wear. Are these shirts supplied by the club or are they supplied by theesupporter group. Does the money paid for the shirts go to the club? If not, would it not be better to encourage members to buy official sharks jerseys or official supporter gear from the sharks' shop in order to maximise their revenue. The Sharks need all the help they can get with revenue, while an extra 50-100 jersey sales every year might not be much every cent counts.

I don't really understand why they manufacture their own supporters shirts, like ok shirts that's fine but actual jerseys?
They would be better spent negotiating with the club to get a % of the jumpers themselves if people became members - That way the club gets a profit as well.

Apart from that they're wonderful.

The only problem I have with them is that they produce their own merch. Great for them to make their own money, but could be better spent on a certain piece of club merchandise, be it a certain type of polo or jersey they can all wear to identify themselves.

simply supporters club shirts, like the 18th man jersey you could say, it feels better looking like a team then all over the joint

to say that we dont buy sharks merch is ridiculous, there isnt a single piece of sharks merch that i DON'T own, hell when sharks auctioned off players signed heritage jerseys, i won 5 of them that cost me a total of $2500 [going straight to the club]

we pour alot of our own money into the club, be it merch or get-togethers at the club for a drink or something

Surely the league needs more such dedicated people.

To be beaten and bruised like them, so often, for scant reward.....this is a devotion of the mightiest kind...

I salute them. And wish there were perhaps twice as many. I wish their stadium was better too...and I wish they had more money.

So its win/win.

thanks :)

Gee, I wonder if they will survive....the supporters could go down the road and support St George Illawarra.

piss off :fist:

although they still owe us a fence.

no, join the queue behind the dragons

that was a safety risk and we highlighted it, i accept your thanks in advance :)

yes it is a joy be apart of when we play you guys at shark park, us in the cage and your mob opposite us, singing our heads off

good one jay.... are you referring to the CSSC?? you dont even know what you are talking about but you start a thread on it?

and to answer your question... i think they are great, to have a year like we did and still show up to all games home and away and in some cases drown out the home supporters is a credit to them. This thread will just becaome another 'bag the sharks' thread but if it makes people feel good to do that on a faceless forum then good for them.

Word.

im easilythe biggest doggs supporter on these forums-ask anyone in the bulldogg forum-like Timmah and bulldogg force- but i have long been considering becoming a sharkiez supporter because of people like ausguy and the fans he vividly depicts in his post, i admire them. They are in my top 3 teams at the moment.

Respect to staunch shark supporters.

Think what they do is good.
I may hate certin teams but I have no dramas with their supporters unless they give me a reason to have one, and then its only that individual or minority group that I have the problem with.
Every team has their own bunch of f**kwits but you can't tar the majority of good willed fans with the same brush as the wankers who chose to associate with that same team.
