It's only one touch but I think we just saw why Brown likes Phythian, especially ahead of Pete Mat. The way he chimed in on the left and took the ball from Hodko at pace into a half gap then got a pass away to keep the play alive, he looked good.
Last season on the same play Mamo would have messed up his timing or done something stupid. Looking forward to seeing how he goes with more and more opportunities.
And yes, could easily see him finding a home in the halves or at centre once Ponga arrives. Early days though, I don't want to get carried away just yet.
