What happens when a Footy Match has to be called off? Macavity just posted in the Knights forum saying EAS is under 1M of water and maybe called off.

Just wondering how they handle this re-schedule it or what?

Each side nominates 3 thumb wrestlers to settle it in a best of 3 series.

Could they move the game to another location such as Gosford? Or would it be too late to do even that?
Or even change game time from Saturday to Monday night?

Just throwing some things out there.

Should give both teams a point. I would take that LOL.

Judging that newcastle has been called a disaster zone i would say the game wont go ahead.

Pumba, change the thread name mate... the title infers it's official.

Also, BWNB posted a similar topic not too far down.

Not forum copping - just letting you know and making a suggestion ;-)

Shut up and get over it you pathetic snivelling loser.

I'd imagine they'd schedule the game for midweek but with Origin, probably midweek the week after. Unfair I know but it's gotta be played.

Situation looks pretty dire everywhere... Any locals up and down the coast want to let us know what's going on?

Radar is showing up empty to me.

Forecast is much the same for the next 24 hours. the rain is still steadily pouring here.

I know it would be a hasty switch but surely an arrangement could be made to play this game at cambelltown, and switch the game in the last round to EAS.

NSW SEVERE WEATHER WARNING
Widespread Hazardous Winds, Flash Flooding, Damaging Surf/Abnormally High Tides
For people in
Central Tablelands, Hunter, Illawarra, Metropolitan and South Coast,
Issued at 10:45 pm on Friday 8 June 2007

Synoptic Situation: 9:00 pm EST Friday
A deep low east off Newcastle is moving slowly south-southeast, and is expected
to be off the Sydney coast on Saturday.

Winds are expected to average over 65 km/h with peak wind gusts to exceed 90
km/h in the Hunter, Metropolitan and Illawarra, particularly near the coast.

Heavy rain is expected to cause flash flooding in the Hunter, Metropolitan and
in the north and eastern parts of Central Tablelands tonight. Heavy rain should
ease in the Hunter district Saturday morning, while it continues on the Central
Tablelands and Metropolitan and extends into the Illawarra. Falls of over 150mm
have been reported today in the Hunter with widespread flash flooding.

Damaging surf conditions, with waves exceeding 5 metres in the surf zone, are
likely to produce significant beach erosion between Newcastle and Port Hacking,
extending south to the Illawarra and northern parts of the South Coast Saturday
morning. Water levels above the highest astronomical tide of the year are
possible.
Emergency services advise you to keep clear of fallen power lines, stay indoors
away from windows and keep children indoors.

Emergency services advise you don't walk, ride your bicycle or drive through
flood water, and keep clear of creeks and storm drains.

Emergency services advise you to check your property regularly for erosion or
inundation by sea water, and if necessary, raise goods and electrical items.

Surf Life Saving Australia recommends that you stay out of the water and stay
well away from surf-exposed areas.

The National Parks and Wildlife Service recommends that people consider
postponing back country travel until conditions improve.
