Alice in Wonderland - usually like Burton and Depp but didn't like this movie. The kids weren't crazy about it either. Was kinda an in between movie that was for kids or their parents.

2012- mostly repetitive and predictable but some of the action scenes (should have been way more of them) were good viewing 6/10

The Prestige- clever, enthralling, well made and acted and kept you guessing throughout, highly recommended 9/10

Pan's Labyrinth- um...supposedly this was one of the best films in recent years, extremely boring and ridiculously violent, I kept waiting for it to get good but it never did 2/10

The Count of Monte Cristo- great storyline, intriguing and unpredictable, definitely worth a watch 8/10

I enjoyed it, thought the aussie girl that played Alice was a bit ordinary though

Finally saw District 9. One of the most original movies i've seen in a long time. Even though he was only the producer it had early Peter Jackson all over it.

Lost in Translation.. a tale of insomnia, isolation and boredom

nothing really happens in the movie, but it draws you in with the fantastic cinematography and timely humour.. decent movie to watch if you're feeling just that, bored. Chances are you'll hate if you're looking for something action-packed and convivial.

Surprisingly, i very much enjoyed it... although i 'had' to do it for my AOS Hsc..

One of my favourite films...

The Road

A very good adaptation of the book.

It was depressing and beautiful, not for the casual movie goer.

Watched Shutter Island last night, I really liked it, DiCaprio really has come of age as an actor, I though Mark Ruffalo was quite good too in a very different role for him. The film had a creepy edge to it with a nice twist at the end, I can't help but think I've seen a similar plot before but nevertheless I enjoyed it...
