Alien Covenant. I'm one of those who really enjoyed Prometheus and I don't think this one is quite as good. Fassbender is great. I did enjoy it still and hope there is another movie or 2 to finish off Scott's vision for the story.

I saw Guardians of the Galaxy. Vol 2

Not bad. I think I liked the first one more, probably as it was a new concept to me at the time.

3/5

Mississippi Grind

Road Trip movie about a gambling addict with Ben Mendehlson and Ryan Reynolds. Interesting enough, if only for the settings of the mid-west to the south and the blues music.

I didn't quite understand the premise of why Reynolds would hook up with a loser like Mendehlson though?

No doubting Mendehlson's acting ability though. Reynolds either for that matter.

3/5.

Prometheus had is issues but it was still enjoying movie, Ok so David and Elizabeth leave LV223 in search of Paradise she wanted to know why the Engineers wanted to destroy the human, The Mural in the space ship with the crucified looking alien with face huggers that appear on the mural there is no further story on this. So it was the storys of the engineers, so now Ridley Scott totally wipes his hand clean of Prometheus and gives us another Aliens film and we get that the alien we know in the first Alien fim was created by David because he had a god complex issues ..I enjoyed Covenant but was expecting more from it.

King Arthur - Not great not horrible, probably about 5 or 6 out of 10.

One criticism would be that it felt like it tried a bit too hard to be like Sherlock Holmes, not sure if that type of wit really fit in with the King Arthur Legend.

Still had some funny moments

John Wick 2
See above 6/10

They should have a kill count in the upper right hand corner
He keeps it ticking ove nicely

Animation double
Sausage Party. Not as good as the trailers made me think it would be. Still had some laughs. 6/10

Finding Dory. A lot better than I expected. My favourite from Pixar for a few years now. Definitely got the feels going. 9/10.

Watched the Red pill last night.

Wtf are people losing their minds for? It's quite possibly the tamest thing I've ever see and a little underwhelming.

Just got back from a screening of Wonder Woman.

It's great! I mean, really great!

Easily best DCEU (I liked bvs and ss, not so much mos) but I'd say better than the vast majority or Marvel as well with a couple of exceptions.

Just entertaining, funny, action packed when needed, heartfelt!

Loved it.

Gal Gadot was pretty good, Chris pine was great.

Villians, as in most comic book movies, is probably the only small let down and the final battle is CG heavy bit didn't bother me too much.

Couple of great applaud moments and it generally funny.

It's not overly dark coloured either, which is good. It has colour and brightness.

8.5/10

Wonder Woman.

Was expecting meh. Got a wow instead.

Gal Gadot. Not just a pretty face and body like I initially thought. There's a certain aura and charisma about her. She's totally out of Chris Pine's league but would have been a match made in heaven along side someone like Benedict Cumberbatch or a Michael Fashbender.

Why Him - I just kept thinking Why Me? As in why did I choose to part with 2 hours of my life watching this puke.

Heisenberg has really lowered his standards, same with Franco.

War Dogs - I know this has received mainly negative reviews which is probably the reason I took so long getting around to watch it, but I actually quite enjoyed it.. had that WOWS vibe but just not as good, still fun though

Wonder Woman - best DC movie by a country mile. Finally they're on the right track. Can't wait for Justice league and all the individual hero movies (The Batman, Aquaman and The Flash)
