Yeah really liked it. Loved Frank Grillo is Kingdom and thought he was awesome in this.
With so much of the film focused right on him I thought he was able to hold his intensity really well. I found his anxiety/anger/frustration really believable which is a big reason why I enjoyed it.

Cargo 7.5/10 - Solid low-budget sci-fi out of Germany that gets the basics of space thrillers right - building setting and characters first. Couple of good twists work well, worth the watch for fans of the genre.

I saw "Better Watch Out" at the cinema tonight. I absolutely love going to a movie where you have absolutely no expectations ( I thought it was going to be a turd of a movie) and the movie turns out great.

Well, it comes 2nd to "Get Out" as my favourite movie of the year. Absolutely outstanding and never boring. Check it out before it disappears from the cinemas.

Just watched Get Out

Enjoyed it, not scary though... It was creepy but funny at the same time

Atomic Blonde

Mrs picked it and I wasn’t keen but was much better then I thought. I had the impression it was going to be a cheesy Bourne rip off but it’s a lot deeper then that. Awesome sound track, great action and a mad leso scene. Not much else you could ask for

Beetlejuice 6/10 - First time watching it; didn't expect that.

Even by Tim Burton standards, this is one weird movie, sacrificing plot for visual set pieces and loads of goofy surrealism laid on far too thick. Lots of jokes and practical humor thrown around but most of them just don't land.

Michael Keaton is the drawcard, and he's out of this world fantastic, one of the most underrated actors of our time. But it's a double-edged sword because there is nowhere near enough of him, the title character is almost an extended cameo when it should have been akin to Jim Carrey in The Mask. Beetlejuice is the life and soul of this movie, every second of him is worth it, and every other second is meh. The (again) underused Winona Ryder is the only one grounding the picture, so we're left with the rest of the uninteresting cast mincing about and hamming it up.

Maybe it's just a product of its time.

Full Metal Jacket 6/10 - completing the trifecta of Platoon and Apocalypse Now, this is the worst of the three by far.

It’s two movies, as many have already put it; the boot camp half the granddaddy of all boot camp sequences to follow for many years, an inspired R Lee Ermey holds nothing back + Vincent D’Onofrio showing off that incredible character acting range.

Then there’s nothing. A grossly uninteresting Matthew Modine plods along in a nothing war tale, the aforementioned films of this genre had the two Sheens as relatable protagonists carrying the movie. It’s all nicely shot and edited but it’s just not engaging.

Just watched Captain America Winter Soldier for the first time in a few years...

Such a great movie... it really broke the mold for a superhero film... was more a spy espionage film than an out and out superhero movie which is what made it great.

And it had two great twists... the whole Hydra in Shield reveal and then to top it off you have the Winter Soldier being Bucky.

The only issue I really have watching it back now is the fact it sits in the Marvel Universe... which kinda makes it abit off when Cap was on the run from shield/hydra he had no one to turn to but Falcon... Er... I’m pretty sure Tony Stark would have helped him... especially seeing as he found out that the Winter Soldier killed his dad... who at the time he didn’t know was Bucky.

Even when he linked up with Fury at the end... they didn’t think of contacting Stark... who could have probably hacked them and destroyed the plan without doing much... or I dunno... Iron Man could have just showed up and blow those carriers out of the sky before they started... hmmm...

:joy::joy:

But apart from that... it’s a great film... :joy::joy:

Tony had just gone through the events of IM3, which ended with him losing his house, destroying all his suits and having the arc reactor removed. So he kinda had his own stuff going on haha

This is the problem with the whole MCU, they have to come up with a deux ex machina (or just plain ignore) the involvement of other Avengers. And when they do bring them in it becomes a half arsed cluster f—k like Ultron, Civil War (basically another Avengers) or Iron Mans ridiculous appearances in Spidey.

IMO the only time they got the balance right was the original Avengers.

The Dark Tower - OMG what did they do to my most favourite book series.

So so bad, glad I never watched this at the movies and gave over my hard earned on this abomination.

American Assasin.

Turned it off halfway through. What a cliche riddled load of tripe

Just finished Get Out, it was good fun... I anticipated the gist of what was happening relatively early on so I wouldn’t say it overly shocking.

Still very cleverly written and the cast were all great.

As much as I was cheering for Chris to make it out alive, when the cop car rocked up at the end part of me was hoping that it was the rascist cop from the start of the movie and that he’d get blamed for all the murders.. would of been a bit of an exclamation mark on the Rascism themes
