Death Hunt (1981)

An action movie released around the time "Fist Blood" came out. Very similar film with two macho men in Bronson and Marvin in the "Colonel Troutman" type role. It has Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed) in a good role too.
While I love the two lead actors, I admit that it doesn't scale great heights. A decent watch.

2.5 out of 5 for me.

Stealing Candy

A movie I found on Tubi with Daniel Baldwin (The "Wish" Baldwin brother), Coolio (yes, that guy from "Gangsters Paradise" and a blonde actress with great tits that I've never seen before and I'll probably never see again.
The story is quite sleazy. Three blokes kidnap an actress who refuses to do sex scenes. They organise an online web cam service to take money from people wanting to see this actress have sex on cam....lol.
It is actually a better movie than it ever has a right to be. While the acting is what you'd expect from a movie, the actual star of the movie is.....believe it or not, the story. I actually enjoyed it. The production values stop it from being a 3 but a 2.5 is definitely fine for this.

2.5 out of 5.

The Menu (4 out of 5)

It is a movie that won't please everybody....but my hell, I loved it!!! Great performances, great build up, dark humour but serious stuff, interesting characters and a satisfying ending. Above all, the movie is actually ORIGINAL!!!

Loved it!!!! Second best movie of 2022 behind Top Gun for mine.

I saw the trailer and am expecting to watch Thursday when it is on Disney.

Looked a bit like The Hunt, which I loved.

I loved the concept of "The Hunt"....it just fell short for me. "The Menu" is a real treat.

Everything, Everywhere All At Once

The most insane, heart warming, hilariously spun out, full roar action romp I have seen in a while.

I just finished watching it and can’t wait to watch it again. Brilliant cast, amazing fun. Now that was a multiverse of madness!!!

White Noise.
First up, if you haven't read the book you may have trouble with the movie unless you really like arty, quirky movies.
The book is fantastic, it's one of my favourites that I've read a few times over the years ( I love Don Dellilo the author, I've read most of his books) and I thought they did a pretty good job with the movie. It took me a while to warm to the actors they chose to play the main roles but they won me over. They changed the ending slightly from the book but it worked ok if a little less dark than the book. Movie 7/10 (Book 10/10).
