I never said i don't find the act of felching to be abhorrent nor did i ever say that I am not a homophobe myself at least in part though I try not to be. It is logical to me that 2 consenting adults who aren't hurting anyone should have the freedom to do whatever they like in the bedroom whether I would do it or not.
If you want to claim the things you say as an off hand comment on a forum then you surely have to afford anyone else the same privilege.

Where did I say it was? It was a continuation of a clearly tongue in cheek follow on from your conversation, which you joined in on albeit did not participate in fully.

I think even with the errors of assumption you've made here you'd agree there is an awful lot of difference between "offhandedly" implying judgment of a gross sex act and "offhandedly" calling someone a bundle of sticks...

I don't like homophobia at all and would consider myself very supportive of LGBTI. Hell, my Sister-in-law of 15 years is now my Brother-in-law and I don't treat him any differently.

That said, I'll still happily make a joke on here about wangs or semen or something similar and I lol'd at Baz's 7 bald men comment. I talk like that in real life too, but only amongst people I know very well as the last thing I would ever want to do is genuinely offend anyone.

Good post Gary. For what it’s worth I don’t think JohnStopAFarty’s post was out of line calling out Bazal’s comment. I don’t think it can be argued the act itself was used in a positive (or even neutral) way, so at least in some form it was used as a put down. I also didn’t think it was necessary to suggest he “jump off a pier” due to a simple disagreement.

As an adult we have to accept having to deal with things. Im rejected all the time being a bit of an odd ball. People are judged on there looks, intelligence and wealth. Even the area they where born.
Amount of times the old prince of Penrith copped a load of shit for where he lived or his spelling. I dont have a cry about it. It's just people feel better about themself when laugh at others. It comes down to history and how the English set up colonies. They always created a divide. We are kind of programmed that way.

So everyone has an opinion based on what they have experienced through life right?
Having different parents, friends and well a different life would have you form different opinions. Did you really develop your own opinion or was it formed by your experiences ? I dont like opinions or opinionated people in general.
El diablo thinks the way he does due to what he has faced. Same goes for you Gary, so even though your ways may seem friendlier it isnt to say down the line it would have a bad reaction.
Look at the boat people for example. Sure it is nice to help the refugees. But see how quickly that spiralled out of control. Then all the people who want to help complain about wage growth stalling and house prices. Fact is all these immigrants are effecting the quality of life in Australia. Supply and demand rocketed house prices and people prepared to work longer and harder hours forces wages to stall.

My 2 cents.....

I have been fat my whole life, i like a lot of feminine things and most of my friends are female.

I have been called fat and a homo all my life.

Funnily none of that bothers me, the fat part especially cause i am fat and it is ridiculously hard to argue against.

The homo stuff i know isn’t true so that is someone else’s problem not mine. If i like feminine things why does it affect anyone else?

My point is that people are too sensitive these days. Words from irrelevant people don’t mean anything.......it is the people closest to us that would matter and if those words come from them in a meaningful way, then there is a problem.

Comments on an Internet forum are just that and are just those people looking for a reaction........which we are ALL guilty of at times.
