Of course. Then they'll be astounded at their predictive ability, as evidenced by the fact that an NRL team loses sometimes (particularly when playing the defending premiers).

He’s coaching better because he got rid of Norman and Hayne. He also is receiving help from a proper assistant coach with NRL first grade experience.

He also has a football manager that is recruiting well.

No but the roster of the team and other coaching staff has changed a bit over the off season.

I just don't want this to be the game our confidence is knocked out of. In past years we have copped hidings and all it does is highlight that we are still very weak, it would be good to be competitive every week especially against the top teams.

That's my point. Unfortunately a number of our players lack self belief and the confidence to keep their heads up when the chips are down. We have less of them now and I may have missed a couple but the ones I named are the ones I believe have the right attitude.

Well there's also the memory of what happened in the Shire when a few brown people dared to go surfing or whatever.

Imagine those folks if you stripped their first ever title?? You really would have to bomb the Shire like that old Dragons banner suggested.

Not at all.
I am confident that for a long time now, we have had players who are "half glass empty" and when they get some early points put on them, they adopt a "we have lost this mentality" and so a hiding happens.
The players I named above are to my eyes at least, "half glass full" players and will keep thinking they can come back from wherever they are on the scoreboard.

I'm fairly certain that the riot was caused by more than a few brown people going to the beach. I know what them f**kers can be like and am glad they were opposed by some staunch Aussies. f**kem!
