Where are the doubters now ?

Bluey is a fantastic coach, he'll gef us to the finals.

We have one of the best squads in the comp and once a couple of key players return from injury, we will take some stopping.

We are now 50% , same as the reigning prems.

Shame on you, doubters. Call yourselves fans.....

Once we put together some back to back wins against top 8 teams then I'll have a little more confidence in Bluey and some of his odd selections.

At the moment all Im seeing is 2010 Ivan Cleary Mark II

You generally can't read a lot in to the early rounds for most sides, bar those teams that are clearly below the rest, but it's looking pretty good as far as I'm concerned. Our defense needs work, but I'd much rather have something that's structural being the major issue as opposed to being creatively bankrupt like some other sides going round, not least the one we just played.

McLennan has inherited a ton of talent and depth, but I think he's also inherited a bit of a double edged sword. Expectations are justifiably high, so unless we win the whole thing this season, or come very close, he'll probably continue to have a number of doubters, regardless of how the regular season goes. A bit unfair given this is his debut NRL season, but understandable given the talent pool he has to draw from.

Yep agree. Can't help Bluey shot himself in the foot with his OTT statements of expecting to win the comp first year. In one way it's refreshing instead of false modesty to look humble n sporting...but jeez it can come back to haunt you. And it's no more kneejerk a comment that what many Aussie 'experts' come out with only a couple of rounds in: Warriors for wooden spoon was last year, this year it was that McClennon is out of his depth- very harsh, presumptuous, and early to spout things like that.
Bluey is a good coach who loves the game though, truely passionate about it. I respect that, and from that deserves a chance and a few weeks to settle in.

He's done it previously though. The guy has the coaching version of the midas touch.

Toughest comp in the world, but if anyones able to do it...

Very interesting. My first guess was Friend, as word is Bluey rates Leuluai as a hooker and Friendy was signed by Cleary - started me thinking he was on the outer for next season. I'm glad I at least know it's not him.

I'm also pleased it isn't Ropati - how could anyone dislike this guy anyway haha.

To the OP's question... still right here. Absolutely dreadful performance. Bring back Ivan.
