so, we've beaten the two worst teams in the competition.

do we play them again at some point?

Yup. They started badly so he axed Seymour, Hohaia and one or two others. But then again, Ivan was apparently too loyal to certain players and apparently too much of a pussy to make changes.

There's something very wrong with how we're starting the game (obviously). You don't concede scores of 16-0, 8-0, 16-0, 16-0 on pure dumb luck, there's something seriously wrong in the preperation that's causing this.

Spot on KTF... I'd be very, very interested to see what happens within the last hour before the game compared to last year. The starts are horrific. THey don't compete sets, they don't go forward, and they jersey grab in defence.

They're looking for hollywood plays from their first hit-up, not even looking to do the basics and complete sets. They won't even make the eight if they keep that up.

What a strange start to the year. If there was one thing I thought a Bluey led team wouldn't lack it would be enthusiasm, especially at the start of a game. We got smashed tonight and it was purely because we were out enthused.

I my sky'd the game and ended up fast forwarding through parts of it because they were so shit. At least the roosters who have been rubbish were able to fall back on passion when their backs were to the wall in the second half when the warriors looked to be mounting a come back.

They were embarrassed in the forwards, dominated in defence and out enthused. Ozbash you're a moron if you think 2-2 is vindication for this coach. 50% is average and now this team sit below average, well below after tonight's effort.

IMO- and it may come back to haunt me- we will beat Canberra, at home, next week. They team will be out to make good after the worst performance that I can remember for a long time.
They did last year, in the playoffs, after the Broncs tore us a new one in the playoffs.
Not sticking up for the coach...because Clearys era had some shockers like that too. And that wasn't his fault either. No coach would tell them to go out, and play like a hungover social group, with missed tackles, errors, fumbles...
Very poor, but I'm hoping it's just one of those horror games every team has from time to time. Remember the Cowboys a few weeks ago?

Cleary had a few shockers but they more because of the other team playing great and us being average, but not awful. Examples, the Storm right after their whole season went to the drain and Brisbane in the playoff last year.

This sort of Warriors performance is tracking back to the Tony Kemp days. I guess next week will be a real indicator of where we are going.

Structurally that definitely reminded me a lot of the Tony Kemp regime... in Kemp's defence, he didn't have blokes like Inu playing reserve grade and he had internationals leaving or looking to get to England as quick as possible. I remember critics of Cleary saying we played too bland, this mob are trying outrageous passes and offloads in the first 5 minutes without establishing the ruck on first and second tackle inside their own half, and then going... woe-was-me, how come we're suddenly 16 behind... AGAIN!

My biggest issue with our attack is we have no respect for the ball. We try to chance our arm way too early. We don't bother trying to build pressure. Example was spreading it wide early in the count; leading to Tupou being jammed into touch.

Its sad really because it seems like instead of building on Cleary's work, Bluey threw his book out the window and started again.
