im winding him up lol, he keeps coming out with ignorant nonsense about perth so just giving him some of his stupidity back.
Are you still hoping Mr Cumins of Cash Converters is the bloke who funds the Pirates' bid? You do realise he was part of the Western Reds venture that failed miserably between 1995 and 1997, right? Cash Converters were the main sponsor of the Reds and couldn't keep it afloat. After all these years, they're the only company willing to bankroll the bid.
You're away with the fairies if you think a Perth team is going to have the same level of onfield success as the Storm. That's all been gifted to them via the NRL to keep the game alive in Melbourne. AwFuL do the same thing in Sydney with the Swans and did it with the Lions in Brissie back in the early 00s. Look at what happened to the Lions when AwFuL stopped giving the Lions a higher salary cap than the other clubs. They fell off a cliff on and off the field and lose millions of dollars each year. Without AwFuL throwing millions of dollars at them and the club collecting around $5million a year from pokies at their Lions@Springwood club they would have gone bust years ago. A Perth NRL club won't be able to fall back on pokies as it's illegal in WA. Without that level of success there's no way a Perth team will draw more than 10,000 average over 10 years. This ain't "ignorant nonsense". It's fact based on history of the Reds, Western Force and Perth Glory when they went from a powerhouse club to a middle of the table team.
If you're that desperate to watch rugby league live then why did you make the idiotic decision to migrate to a fumbleball state? Just pack your bags and move to Sydney or Brissie.
except in 2013 when over 74k packed out old Trafford lol
Capacity is 76k, so not a sell out. Half the tickets were probably given away. England cannot even sell out the tiny venues they have in the north of the country when they play Australia. London cares so little about RL the London Broncos were lucky to draw 1,000 to their games when they were in the Super League.
Titans v panthers April 2019 8,680
That’s sht, no more teams for se qlnd
I've made it clear I am for the removal or relocation of the Titans. They should never have been admitted into the competition to begin with.
Besides, what does a low crowd in a notoriously apathetic regional city like the Gold Coast have to do with expansion in Brisbane?
It makes no sense, like the rest of the shit you write. If the best you can do is compare one game that was played in a regional city, despite the fact it drew more people than the last game that was played at Perth Oval in a metropolitan area, then you've just proven my point that Perth isn't ready for an NRL team.
