I must say that I would have guessed that he played in the late 80s (88 or so). Though I should know, cause I drove from Canberra to Sydney to watch us lose 64-12 to Manly in 88, and Penna was nowhere to be seen. I reckon Toovey played reserves for Manly that day, and we really got stuck in.
