He played well up to 2015 injury in club footy. The missing on finals footy was certainly not his fault we had plods in and around the club. We're slowly transforming into a more all around team with investment in youth and homegrown talent. It's looking good despite being short of that experienced half and backup hooker. I already feeling good this far out from our glory.

Yes it was. And in 2014 he was unstoppable just seemed to slice through defenses. Saw him carve up Australia in front of my eyes in Wellington. That will never be forgotten felt on top after that game after missing out on finals footy that year.

SJ also has the best RL career highlights of any player. Who knows what his last NRL deal brings. He could still win a NRL trophy / ring before he moves on.

The club meaning Cameron George and senior leadership team decided not to have him back. For that to occur must mean he has some issues we aren't of aware of. It's unfortunate because he's always the Warriors to me.

If that were me I’d be like heeeeelllll no.

Warrior Widdop?​

It’s no secret Gareth Widdop is eyeing a return to the NRL, and talk out of the United Kingdom suggests it could come in the form of the New Zealand Warriors.

We’re hearing the Warriors are keeping a very close eye on Widdop’s performances in the Super League, contemplating a play for the former Melbourne and St George Illawarra five-eighth for next season.
Widdop’s children are now living with their mother in Australia, with Widdop desperate to move closer to them.

A contract with the Warriors still has its obstacles given travel limitations and potential restrictions, but it could provide him with an opportunity to see them more regularly.

The Warriors went after Nicho Hynes, offering a three-year $1.5 million deal. They were blown out of the water by the Sharks. Widdop appears to be their next target.

Widdop isn't looking for much $$, wouldn't be upset if we did get him for a year. Seems like a stop gap move, obviously not long term. Perhaps they are looking for some experience to help CHT and Walsh's development.

Depends what shape and form he's in - if he's like Green and his body can't keep up with his brain then he'll be a waste of space blocking the development of a long term player. Obviously if the opposite is true he'll be awesome.
