With green gone we better be looking at ryley jacks. The dudes off contract.

I agree with having a sniff at Alex Johnson aswell.

Euan Aiken and tim laifai off contract and a bit outta favour at the dragons too.

Jacks is basically an exact clone of Blake Green. If we are going down that path, might as well keep green on a drastically reduced contract.

Lafai wouldn't be a good fit in my opinion, dragons are just as bad as us and he cant make their squad.

Johnston hell yes. Speed and accomplished finisher, exactly what we need

Considering we paid Beale about $350k, I'd be happy to chuck an extra 50k in there and get Johnston (I imagine he would be worth something around there) and have Fus move in one.

I mentioned Asiata a few months back, he'd be a great player to come on 20 minutes before and after half time I think.
Now that we've signed Murchie for the next few years, I'd like to see Murchie and Curran given an extended run in the team.
Which for me, would leave half and hooker our big issues. I don't see Egan as an 80 min hooker that offers a running game, and a half combination of CHT and Nikorima leave a lot to be desired

I agree with Smash Em Bro's concerns over Egan. At best a backup hooker imo. Slow service and not much of a running game. Hopefully Roache can come back from injury into the mainstay hooker.

To be honest, Rudolph not coming might ease a few headaches for the forwards and bench for next year.

I'm hoping that Roache comes back strong and his body can now withstand NRL. If there's any more injuries we need to move him on.

8. BMM
9. Egan
10. Ah Mau
11. Harris
12.Katoa
13. Murchie

14. Roache
16. Paasi
17. Bunty
18. Jazz

We've also got Curran, Burr, JTB, King outside these guys (assuming we get rid of Blair, Papalii, Frei and Pulu this year)

Not sure we need that many more forwards?

Matt Burton the 20yr old Panthers 1/2 half back would be worth a decent look. With Cleary, Tyrone May and Jerome Luau all in the mix, one of them won’t be a regular in the 17. He carved us up deluxe when we played them earlier them in the year

We need centres, backrowers, play makers and a hooker. My top targets would look like:
1. Matt Burton
2. Brodie Croft. He’s a star but getting zero help from Milford or anyone else at Bronco’s.
3. Jermaine Isaako to play centre/wing and backup fullback.
4. And the magic piece of the puzzle, i’d throw the house and anything else he wants including the bosses daughter all at Brandon Smith. If Cam Smith goes around again and Harry Grants heads back as per loan deal, then right contract might get him across the line.
5. Corey Harawira-Naera is someone looking forward a fresh start. We could certainly do with a ball playing lock

We've got a ball playing lock - Tohu Harris. He shouldn't be moved back.

Katoa/CHN is a nice edge forward pairing though.

Only one of those thats off contract is CHN and didn't he reject us once already?

There have been so many I lost count.

now contracts mean nearly zero and if players want out then in most cases that can happen. I’m sure Burton for example doesn’t want to sit 4th on the ring for the next 2yrs hoping his mates get injured so he can get game time.
And Croft, with Brisbane’s issues, if a new coach comes in then that’s an opportunity to pick up contracted players. We don’t want to be aiming for scraps but instead hitting the market for the quality younger players.

Egans service is far from slow. It's the best we have had in ages. He is purposely jumping out and holding up markers. I agree he is not 80mins worth but he is doing a great job. A tandem of him and roache would be the go to.

Jahrome Hughes could be a good pick up if available. and you would think either Brandon Smith or Grant will jump ship if they dont get the 9 jumper next year at the storm

I just hope Robinson doesn't go off half cocked signing players and leaves it to the new coach.

This is a crucial time for the Warriors- they can't afford another screw up.

Also 1 or 2 new signings aren't going to make a difference. We have too many average players. Some need to be moved on; but by the new coach not Robinson.

Alex Johnson showed some absolute gas last night scoring his 60+ metre try. Wonder how he’d go at centre? Then Fus could move in one leaving wing free. Or Kenny M into the forwards??

Really looking forward to Roache coming back, he's said he's hoping it will be three weeks or so.

From there, we have the Tigers, Manly, Panthers, Bulldogs and Knights.

With Jazz, Roache and Katoa there and hopefully a new coach announced (I have no idea when this is happening, but wsurely wouldn't be more than 5 or 5 weeks away?) we can get a bit of momentum, play a fast paced attractive style of footy and maybe even start to look like a half decent club to potential signings.

Talk to me at the end of August tho, that could be all a pipe dream haha

Not the most talented guy going around but shit I enjoy what Hipgraves puts out every week. A couple of guys like him is exactly what the Warriors need
