fmd dragons fans skip logic classes. Burgess, Taylor and Sandow are all very young. And those 3 aren't exactly role players. Burgess and Taylor would have been 2 of our best, and Sandow plays a key position.
As for basically being the same squad, that's why the close losses won't happen again! You don't blood a team whose core is very young, enduring a lot of close losses, and then demolish the team and rebuild. We've added Inglis who is a big game player and won't lose his nerve if the ball is in his hands in a match that goes down to the final moments. Burgess and Taylor and Sandow and Co are all a year older and a year wiser (hopefully).
We won't win 77 minutes of a game anymore, we'll close them out, capitalise on our hard work and win the games we're supposed to win.
I think a lot of those heartbreak moments from last year will help this squad not make the same mistakes this year.
3 players make for an inexperienced squad?
Taylor has played SOO footy, Burgess has played International footy. I'm sure they are equipped to handle the pressure of NRL club footy after playing against the best of the best.
So you are basically stating it was Sandow's doing then, given Taylor & Burgess were 2 of your best.
To be honest the inexperienced one you refer to (Sandow) kept you in a lot of matches last year.
Your forwards were over rated and are not inexperienced. Their defensive effort was lazy.
Saints could basically use the same argument over inexperience.
Merrin, Prior, Green, Stanley all inexperienced by 1st grade standard.
Can I also use Boyd as inexperienced? He is around the same age as Taylor and was only playing his 2nd season as a Fullback in 1st grade.
What about Soward, his 2nd full season in 1st grade as a 5/8.
