Noel Goldthorpe spent some time there, and a young Brett Kimmorley also debuted in the Top Grade there. Didn't his brother (Neil?) also play there too?
A "junior" is a development pathway. The club that nurtured you from say 12 to 20 years old.
Brett may have debuted for mariners but was a knights junior.
Also it is impossible for someone to be a "Mariners Junior" because at most they could have played one season. They would have been another club's junior for at least 7 years
mariners had juniors in 96 also, if not earlier. just because super league only had one season, it started well before 97
Here's a list of players from the 90's who played this year

1000 people?!?Topper Stadium, couldn't remember what the official name was. Parking and transport was horrendous.
I remember one game where it was pissing down rain and there was about 1000 people huddled under that small grandstand on the right. Crowd was announced as 1800 or something though, couldn't have been more than 1200 there.
In this case though, it doesn't matter.
Kimmorley was a knights junior
Breakers stadium carnnnnnnts.
Wasn't willie mason a mariner to?
1000 people?!?
Those Mariner players must have had big families.
I think Brad Thorn is still playing Union for the Highlanders in 2013? He made his debut back in 1994 against the Bulldogs.
