Who to replace Widdop as captain?

I think we should get McGregor to be captain..

Think about it..

He’ll put doubt in the referee’s mind by always finding someone else to blame when a penalty gets blown against us..

He’ll add more strike to our centres than the incumbents..

Best of all, it gets him out of the coaching box..

Vote 1 - McGregor (c)

A fully fit and firing Tariq Sims would be my choice
......just before Frizz or Cam because they are both captain whisperers...I could never see either of them getting fired up enough to argue as a captain or tell players off

Its about respect, and they all respect Cam...
Sims would be a time bomb... He fades in and out of games, and even his form ( albeit injury last season ), is up and down.

Cam deserves it, as he is consistently leading by example.
Im a fan of Tariq as a destructive player on his day, but he would not be in my list of choices.

Cam deserves it and would be my choice after the 2nd half of the season. Guy really stood up and I pressed when other didn’t. Friz would get no argument from me, and Tariq was my previous choice who I’d also be happy with.

Agreed.
Cams game certainly lifted with the C next to his name.
He went from 40 tackles a game, to 60.

OKB,

Who was our last premiership winning Captain ? B. Hornby.. Not exactly the " in your face " type Captain, but played 80 minutes and was a leader on and off the field.

Rarely confronted refs, and if he did, it was very subdued.

We are sooooo far from a title threat, but Cam ticks the boxes for me.

Obviously, it’ll be McInnes. I don’t mind the idea of Ben Hunt being given increased responsibility by way of a co captain tag approved by the club.

McInnes makes the logical choice but I think Frizell may get the not or at least co-captain role. Having Frizell as Capt may make him stay longer.

I really think that T Sims - injury free, would an ideal choice for Captain. He speaks well, leads by example and most likely has the brains to make decisions on field.

Cam Mcinnes hands down.

His efforts this year in a downtrodden team just confirmed for me that he is the man to lead the team.

When the going gets tough,...

No doubt about his efforts. Now he has to work out how to get the rest of the team to go as hard as he does. Hopefully he learns how to do that.

I'll second that motion.....
