Why.....because he punched Steve price?
Mick Vella beat the crap out of cancer.
That makes him harder in my book.
Also, he was a better player. Carted the ball up very well and didn't shirk duties in defence.
Not talking about cancer.
Talking about rugby league.
Brett White.
Aaron Moule v Tony Martin
White is remembered for nothing that didn't involve his fists - or Cam Smith an Mick Croker holding someone for him to punch. Vella also won a minor premiership. TBH both were shown to be soft at times, but I do remember Vella flattening Martin Lang one day in the way white never could.
covell - not a ponce like Synomds
Boyd. Actually broke tackles
Marshall - just.
Flo in a canter
Terry Fahey or Nathan Merrit
Jay. Tough n underrated.
Mitchell Cox or Clayton Friend
Lock Daley vs Lock Fittler (Pretty sure Daley played some Lock)
Centre Daley vs Centre Fittler
5/8th Daley vs 5/8th Fittler
I didnt see much of Daley or pre 2000 Fittler so I'm pretty curious
I would say
Centre - Daley (Just)
Five Eighth - Fittler (Just)
It would go like this
1990-93 - Daley (Just)
1994-97 - Even
1998-00 - Fittler (clearly better in my opinion)
Overall i would take Fittler i think he was consistently great throughout his career so was Daley but he suffered from injuries etc where as Fittler played at the top level for 14 years compared to 12 for Daley.
Paul McGregor or Willie Tonga
From 89 to at least 95 it was Daley pretty easily for mine. At center and 5/8.
