but the majority of the dragons trys didnt come from kicks or inside the 20 metres zone, they come from running plays.

Where the attacking sides score majority of thier trys came within the 20 metres.

Going by your statement
The attacking side is more predictable and boring then the defensive style of the dragons.

You wouldn't be saying that if the Dragons played exciting, attacking football.

they are playing exciting attacking football, the difference is they are capable of the harder attack which is defence.

Where majority of teams this year have failed in

I'm not going into the detail, but the point is that a strong disciplined risk-less game puts pressure on the opposition, who will eventually score points. Kudos to the Dragons for their execution, but it isn't that much fun to watch.

How many times has Jamie Soward chipped and chased this year, considering he is in a master class at it.

You are entitled to that opinion , if you dont find it exciting fair enough

How many times has Jamie Soward chipped and chased this year, considering he is in a master class at it.

He uses it for a shock tactic if he uses too much then the opposition would be awake to it ,
thats why i find attacking plays from attacking teams predictable because you know their attacker is going to use the chip and chase every game.Apart from the odd bad bounce, the good defensive sides are capable of handling it.

With the tigers rushing up last week, there was not even one attempt...

Anyway it's all good....the contrast in styles should make it a good game.

Mate you need to deal with the fact that the dragons are a boring team to watch to the majority of rugby league fans. Having said that, if they win the premiership, then they will be vindicated in their approach.

The Roosters actually have fans now damn when they jump on the wagon.

Serious any team coached by that wank stain Smith deserves nothing serious he is the biggest turd of ever had the misfortune of meeting.

People whinge about the Dogs not producing their own the Roosters are just as bad if not worse.

Boring or not - I don't care... in 1999 we were the excitement machine but no one remembers that. In saying that I believe the whole boring thing has caught onto St George like the whole choker media beat up tag. I mean if it means that we win because we can get Soward to kick a field goal on his first attempt whilst the Tigers keep trying to score a try and are unsuccessful then I will take the boring anyday. The whole thing about wanting/supporting an exciting team is like trying to vouch for the Harlem Globetrotters to play in the NBA... perhaps we should change the rules to allow them to be successful in basketball. As much as I dislike the Italian soccer team, they have done very well as a team due to their structured style and I admire it... in a sense perhaps this is like Italy vs Brazil in soccer... any sport allows contrasting plays and it is up to the coach to get the team to play to its strengths.

People can say the Dragons are playing 'boring' football all they like. It's not boring for me.

I'm just glad they are playing football this weekend, unlike 14 other sides with 'exciting' football styles.

I don't have a team in the rugby league
nor do I watch it.

Ive seen just the last 2 weeks of finals, I came here to vent as i'm so sick of walking around town and seeing roosters fans yahooing like anyone cares about the team.

you losers don't even live in the eastern suburbs so your opinions and views on me are not valid.

we hate the f**king roosters
most of the "fans" aren't from roosters territory so hurry up and relocate so all this unpleasantness can stop

sick of your horns and your flags and that monstrosity you call a jersey, leave it at home and we can all get along.

All made their first grade debuts with us and I don't give a sh*t where they played when they were 6, 10 or 14 or 18, we gave them their chance in first grade.

If they were playing/grew up/"developed" in someone elses catchment area I don't care, it just means that club was lucky that they were born nearby. They would of been good players no matter who they played junior footy with.

Conn - barely wanted by his previous club
Graham - barely wanted by his previous club
Ryles - playing in France

Carney came to us because we were willing to take a gamble that other clubs weren't.

Myles and Anasta are the big name signings at our club.

But this is all irrelevant anyway, the NRL exists to find out who the best Rugby League club in Australia is, not who "develops the most juniors" which some people with their heads still in the 1950's seem to think it is.

If you can produce the "Most juniors developed" trophy, I will concede your point.

The only reason people give the Bulldogs sh*t is down to the fact that they pissed and moaned about other clubs buying players while they claimed they were some sort of moral bastion and bred all their own. They now have an almost entirely bought team and have been shown to be massive hypocrites.

Really, how much longer do we have put up with this tripe of an argument. All clubs buy players. It's a professional sport ffs. Get over it.

It's a final between my 2 least favourite Sydney teams. Although that's better than a non sydney team playing it's still not much fun. Because I have to pick one I'll go Roosters, one of the most entertaining teams in the competition this season. And I've always liked Brian Smith, hope he gets his GF win.

Absolutely hated the Roosters in the early part of this decade, but their relative mediocrity since the Fittler days has somewhat tempered that hate.

Still, f**k em.

Hope the Dragons smash em.

But I fear that the Roosters will come out on top

Funny hey, Brian Smith, former coach of the Illawarra Steelers.

Up against his old club.

Shame they allowed Stain George to merge with them after they folded.

Cheers

Well Snootass, I live in Bondi, and have done for most of my life. Where is this mystical town you speak of, with rooster supporters blowing horns, yahooing, waving flags and wearing jerseys. I would like to visit that town, but know that it does'nt exist, your whole post is based on fantasies eg, I dont follow the game, only ever watched two finals. why would you go to the trouble of registering on the forum if this were the case? is your real name gaba.
