All made their first grade debuts with us and I don't give a sh*t where they played when they were 6, 10 or 14 or 18, we gave them their chance in first grade.

If they were playing/grew up/"developed" in someone elses catchment area I don't care, it just means that club was lucky that they were born nearby. They would of been good players no matter who they played junior footy with.

Conn - barely wanted by his previous club
Graham - barely wanted by his previous club
Ryles - playing in France

Carney came to us because we were willing to take a gamble that other clubs weren't.

Myles and Anasta are the big name signings at our club.

But this is all irrelevant anyway, the NRL exists to find out who the best Rugby League club in Australia is, not who "develops the most juniors" which some people with their heads still in the 1950's seem to think it is.

If you can produce the "Most juniors developed" trophy, I will concede your point.

The only reason people give the Bulldogs sh*t is down to the fact that they pissed and moaned about other clubs buying players while they claimed they were some sort of moral bastion and bred all their own. They now have an almost entirely bought team and have been shown to be massive hypocrites.

:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
Exactly right. So 13 out of our best 19 players have only played for our club, that would put us right up there in “player development”.

I'm not fussed who wins. I live in Wollongong so it'd be good to see the town go crazy but I'm thinking about putting cash on the Roosters.

As long as it's a good game, I'll be happy.

As a Penrith supporter it's an absolute "no brainer":

The Dragons.

I doubt that there will be many Penrith supporters cheering on the Chooks at all.

I personally hope the Roosters get seven shades of sh*t kicked out of them on Sunday.

Moreover; The Dragons deserve the title. Have been the most consistent team all year.

Split/Undecided/Dont Care

The Roosters actually have fans now damn when they jump on the wagon.

Serious any team coached by that wank stain Smith deserves nothing serious he is the biggest turd of ever had the misfortune of meeting.

People whinge about the Dogs not producing their own the Roosters are just as bad if not worse.

quoted for lol's

So do you include your own club in that tirade, or are you in the "our club began in 1999" brigade?

Or were you not aware that he coached St George before?

I'm going for St.George-Illawarra. Simple reason is because of the way Brian Smith followed the dollars towards the end of last season and turned his back on Newcastle. He should have remained being Knights coach in 2010. I wouldn't mind betting a fair whack of Newcastle supporters are of similar opinion.

I know too many Dragons supporters to actually want them to win, however they are -in my eyes- the lesser of two evils this time around!

I'll be supporting Easts, but that's because I have since '96.

LOL. I bet quite a few jumped on the bandwagon in 1996. That was when Brad Fittler and Matt Sing moved from Penrith to play for the new
star studded 'Sydney City Roosters' outfit.

Can't remember much of a bandwagon between 1988-1995 when the Roosters missed the finals consistently.

My bandwagon- team that's playing Roosters and that just happens to be the Dragons on Sunday.

Also the 31 year drought for Dragons fans, they deserve it.

Yeah exactly...

All these former Penrith supporters that jumped ship in 96' and started supporting the chooks just because Penrith went with Superleague....

Wankers!

I just hope that come this time Monday, they're all crying into their tri-coloured Jerseys... Or burning them. Whichever way their character swings...

They'll be crying like girls just like that Roosters fan from the 2004 loss to the Bulldogs.

I started supporting the Roosters in 1996 too.

But I moved to Oz in October 1995 and I was living in Double Bay.

I asked my brother in law (who only supports a team if he thinks they're going to win... Parra in the 80's, Newcastle in the 90's and now St George, even though he was born in the East and lived there all his life) what Easts were like... he said "crap" so I said "they're the team for me then".

Been supporting them through thick and thin ever since. Always will.

scum.

When successful in 2003 we had a big bandwagon. 2010 doesn't really count as that successful because the team lacked form at the back end of the year and went out early. I was happy with the year because it was our best year for 6 years. I'm sure we'd have had bigger crowds if the we caught fire towards the end of the season.

A Roosters supporter bagging another club for lack of fans. Now I've seen it all. You're hardly the most popular club in the comp. The mob you're playing on Sunday has it all over you in terms of supporter numbers. You're just as fickle as any other teams fans. Hardly anyone turned up last season when you were the joke of the league.

P.S. Roosters and Manly were the ARL scum. Broncos/Raiders were the Super League scum. They were the main proponents of the respective comps and the other clubs just followed their lead.
Penrith just made a decision in their financial interests at the time. Can't really pin the blame on them specifically, the whole situation was regrettable.

If it weren't for Easts and Manly Superleague would have won. All clubs should be kissing our feet for saving them
