Ok perhaps I was a bit too harsh.
But things need to change, and Brown/Doust are the first on the list. If we keep letting it go, and letting it go, and letting it go, it's only going to end up where we are in a scenario like Souths were 5-10 years ago.
The sad part here is that we seem to be at each others throat over this, yet we agree on the matter.
YES, there need to be changes. YES, I think Doust is a wanker.
I am sick to the teeth of seeing players leave who truly love, and take great pride in being a Dragon. I won't get started on the environment created in rugby league that forces some clubs to merge, and other clubs to drop out of the competition alltogether, but businessmen need to run the club, and leave decisions effecting the team directly to those who have a clue.
We sign players we either don't have a spot for, or simply can't afford.....whilst other players are put in a situation where they leave (by choice or not), or have to take big salary cuts to stay.
I have questioned Brown's decisions in the past, and still see a lot wrong with the way things are done. Let's face it....slotting reputedly the best centre in the world into five-eight is crap, in my opinion. We have some very good players in Premier league, who have come up from juniors, and are truly proud to call themselves a Dragon....yet don't ever see first grade.
I believe Nathan is wrong in some key areas, but I cannot think of an available, experienced, first grade coach who I want to see at the club. Going for a change, rather than an improvement is not likely to do us much good that I can see.
Let's fix what's wrong instead of throwing people out with the trash.
