Who's gonna be at EAS this Sunday?

I sure as hell will be. Times like this that the team needs us most. I'm fed up with the fairweather fans that have been revealed during our toughest 6 weeks ever. Everyone is more then happy to cheer for them while there on top but when they hit the bottom, people come out with stinging attacks on the players, coach and management.

The players are trying their hearts out. I couldn't give a rats ass if they won by 1 or lost by 60. As long as i know they tried them i am damn proud of them and will cheer them off the field. But every game this year they've tried. As a fan it's all i can ask of the players. The players are suffering due to the poor management of the club.

I have been critical of Michael Hagan by saying he needs to answer some questions. Now that i have thought about it i realised he is given the least amount of resources of any of the 15 NRL coaches. He doesn't have a highly qualified staff to work with or state of the art facilitys. And to be quite honest, he just doesn't have the cattle. His top 17 would be a gun team, but once again it comes back to him having no qualified staff in key positions. A significant reason behind the continuing injury toll if you ask me.

It all comes back to the management. But i feel that they have finally pulled their heads out and will seriously consider privatisation. We have all seen what it's done for Manly. But Manly didn't become privatised then suddenly have the ability to win overnight. They were able to hire qualified staff, move the team to state of the art training faciltys, attract quality players and were able to end the clubs days of a shoestring budget. It will do the same for us.

True Knights fans will be there this Sunday. Me and Prideknight are going, with a banner that will read........

WIN, LOSE OR DRAW.....WE LOVE OUR MIGHTY KNIGHTS!

Hope to see some of you there. And if it isn't as hot as yesterday hopefully i might meet some of you in person. Just to damn hot to go looking for people yesterday.

Go the Knights for the upset of the season!

Welcome to the forum.
I will be there.
I'm looking forward to Premier League winning four in a row for the first time since 2001.

  Well said RABK I will also be there. I am like u and am disgusted at those who are just fairweather fans. It makes me sick in the stomach to be honest. I dont think we are without a chance this weekend either.

We beat the bulldogs in almost identical cicumstances last year. We will go in with a very similar team and they will have alot of players backing up from a rep game. So if we put in a performance like we did last year i think we can do it. The Dogs are unlikely to lose 5 in a row but i know the boys won't wanna lose 6 in a row.

Sounds good. Oh and i always abuse the Dogs fans. I was right in there with the Kiwi's yesterday. You just have to make sure security is close enough. ;-)

Hang on a minute here...

People pointing out the obvious issues we have off the field are suddenly 'fair weather fans'....?

Wanting the team to keep up with the pack on every front, wanting to retain the cream of our juniors and fill the gaps with quality, wanting our boys to have access to a professional environment..... that is fair weather?

Think about that one dude......

Wasn't laying the boot into you, voice of reason or Nuffy. Infact i applaud the way you are trying to improve the teams current predicament. And i know you do it because of how much you love this team.

It was directed at people who say....

"Johns should retire"

"Hagan should get sacked"

"We suck! I'm not going to another game this year"

Etc.

If you read my post again yuo will see how i stand on the management. It looks like they are about to pull their heads out.

I'll be the Canberra representitive :D

I wish that I could go to more knights games. Unfortunatly I can only got to 2 or 3 games a year. But I will be cheering on the couch and wishing the boys well.

I highly respect your pride and love for the Newcastle Knights Red and Blue Knight.

We can't sack Hagan now. With our finances in the state they're in, where will we find someone who can make caffe lattes and muffins for the boys at half time as good as he can for as little money.

RABK. I agree with you there are a lot of fairweather supporters out there. I was at the game yesterday and have supported the side from day 1. Just because I don't think that Hages is the best coach going around doesn't mean that I love the club any less.

Win lose or draw, I'm with you when it comes to following our side, but I reserve the right to my own opinion on decisions made by our coaching staff over the last few seasons which have left me somewhat dumb founded.

Good for you though for staying positive and trying to rally the troops. :)
I'm keen to go on Sunday, but am having trouble convincing my fairweather fan mates to go. .

Unfortunately I can't see them winning, but I will be barracking for them regardless, like I always have

I'll be there, alongside brandell. I'll probably be in the stands somewhere, but if someone wants to meet up- IM me and I'll give you my mobile number, and we can meet up during the lower grades/halftime. It's been great meeting guys like TKR, The Vern, TJS, and astro recently.
