We need to work out a way to let stone take on the defensive role that rheed does and hide rheed on the edge or somewhere to give him a breather whilst stone is on

A bit like Paul Taylor and sterlo did

Where on the edge are you going to put Mahoney? You don't want him next to the halves, and certainly don't want him making the defensive decisions at centre. And you can't defend him in the half position because that means one of the halves has to defend in the middle

Hard to totally pick out just one player or our weakest link.

So here’s my few picks in no particular order.

1. sivo. Is leaking tries like a sieve. He needs pull his finger out.

2. The waka/fergo combo. Not sure it’s totally working. Waqa running out of the line and leaving fergo on his own is an issue. Also fergo can’t be totally blamed for his lack of tries. Jenko is great at creating opportunities for sivo, what benefit has waqa been for fergo?

3. Dummy half. Reed has good vision and great attributes to be a great Rake. But lack of running is making him one dimensional. He also lacks engaging markers getting his runners over the advantage line. We lack potency thru our 9. Teams will work us out. He’s far from our weakest link, but I’m going to make a call now. If we’re to get anywhere near the GF we absolutely need this kid to fire.

Fittlers theory is that players who's tackle counts are high are the players the opposition prefer to run at.

There is some merit to this, but it also doesn't take into account players like Reed who go looking for more tackles to make. This is why I said earlier in the season, he needs to stop the extra work that he DOESN'T have to do and then he may have that extra juice in the tank to take the line on and have a bit of a running game. He used to in the lower grades but now just wants make 50 tackles and pass the ball. He needs that extra dimension in his game to male him the complete dummy half.

On the left wing? Moses is sometimes on the right wing in defense.
