You'd think they'd need to be known before the NRL chose the next team(s), wouldn't you?
Surely it would only enhance a Perth, or any teams, bid to have the backers in full view.
Anyway, I haven't seen the NRL formally ask for bids from any teams in expansion as of yet.

Yep. If twiggy forest was backing this, believe me we'd know about Perth bid..

You'd think local fan support would help..
it has local fan support. Fans here want to see a NRL club. They dont care at this early stage about the what or who. Its just you thats obsessed wit the detail lol

but no it wont. Otherwise large crowds for RL over the last decade in Perth would have made a difference by now.

Dolphins were out in the media for years before..
as has perth, a lot longer than 2017!!

2005
Western Reds might be gone from rugby league but the WA Reds are on the way in.
WA Rugby League chief Geoff Baldwin last night revealed the name of the local team to enter the secondtier Jim Beam Cup next year as part of a long-range plan to restore a Perth side to the National Rugby League.
Baldwin said the Reds name had been retained because the public automatically associated it with rugby league, and local followers of the sport associated it with unfinished business.
He revealed that the logo of the new team was based on that of the old Western Reds.
The intention was for the Reds to be back in the national competition by 2012.

2012
The WARL today launched its new look, with the colours of red, gold and black a salute to history, as they were the original colours of the Western Reds. The Reds fielded a team in the NRL and Super League from 1995 to 1997.
The Pirates' moniker will replace the old Reds' logo, which up until now had been the face of the bid.
The WARL has spent more than three years planning for the anticipated 2015 expansion, focusing on establishing a statewide grassroots connection and then building the model from the ground up.
The WARL has also fielded a side in the under-18 SG Ball national competition for three years, with seven local players joining NRL clubs' Toyota Cup development teams.

Not like the group hasnt been at this for a while lol

Those bids have dissolved. U were part of one (not saying it folded because of ur involvement).
same bidding team, different times.
Just doing it differently this time after two very public door slams. Dont blame them for that.
